Dont wanna talk in the past tense, but was a great dog. Very rare they can recapture their best after a hock but it occasionally happens, lets hope so

I heard he has been retired and he is living the life of luxury with the next door neighbour!

met with Bert for dinner in central London last Thursday, he is walking and putting weight on hock, albeit obviously limping, but in good spirits. Remains with John his owner/trainer at home, plan remains the same, serve some bitches in few weeks, and trainer hopes against hope he will heal and be back racing.
