Any idea what sum on average a track get for staging an BAGS/BEGS meeting?

Just looking at the shameful prize money that is 'offered' at GRA tracks  and of the approximate £2100 prize money for the whole card including run money today at a Birmingham track, just over £400 comes from the BGRF. I would imagine a BAGS fee is considerably more than the £1700 balance??

For a similar amount to be offered for graded races at their other tracks including the 'home' of the derby is a disgrace and the sooner they leave the sport the better it will be for those involved in supplying the great product

Appreciate that probably there are very few people on track and overheads need to be covered but they're just draining the life out of the sport at these tracks. Why dont the GBGB insist on a minimum level of prize money or refuse to grant stadiums a licence to race? Just a suggestion

The GBGB prize money grants should be linked to betting turnover at the track.
