2012 Irish Derby Competition - Entries

If I get the required number of entries, I have no problem running a competition on the upcoming Irish Derby, like we have done before.

I'll post the rules below but whoever is interested, just reply to this thread - We'd need at least 15 entries to make it worthwhile. I'll get onto Betfair to see if we can get some prizes for the comp.

Rules:

You must select 10 greyhounds, 2 from each bracket 1-5.
Your dogs will score points in the following ways

Bracket number x S.P. for each heat win.
(i.e. dog from bracket 1 wins at 2/1 scores 1 x 2 = 2, plus bracket value = total score of 3.)

Bracket number for qualifying through each round.

50 points bonus awarded for fastest calculated time of each round.

Finishing position:
1st 1000pts
2nd 500pts
3rd 400pts
4th 300pts
5th 200pts
6th 100pts
Losing semi finalist 50pts

You must also select a Bismarck for the competition, which MUST be from BRACKET 1. The further this selection goes through the event the more points you will lose, as below..

1st round 0pts
2nd round -10pts
3rd round -20pts
quarter final -50pts
semi final -100pts
6th -150pts
5th -200pts
4th -300pts
3rd -400pts
2nd -500pts
1st -1000pts

You must also select a NAP which will score you double points throughout the competition.

All entries must be received before the very first heat of the 1st round.

If one of your selections is a non-runner, you may select a replacement - as long as that dog hasn't raced in the first round at that point.

Once we get a list of the entries on Sunday, I'll post the greyhounds in their various brackets for selection purposes.
