fell at 6th bend while whispering sweet nothings in another dog's lughole. sincerely hope he is OK but has a hell of a draw in semi. although pinged both times from 4 so far at the don. they're cheering this one on in south wales, that's for sure

NEWSFLASH judicial ruling gains backing from entire swansea fc football squad. "anyone who isn't rooting for this dog is not a swans fan" said ashley williams, club captain.
"i will not tolerate people at this club, the supporters, players, coaching staff, administrative staff, or even people who pretend to give a **** about swansea fc but really support a much bigger and more established team, even wishing privately that judicial ruling does not win the 2012 derby. i hope that clears up any confusion on this matter" said brendan rogers, manager, whilst stroking a novelty cuddly toy of judicial ruling and sticking a small penknife into a picture of dolores.

After flying early in the first round, Judicial Ruling "took off" in the 2nd round and i was totally taken in, thinking we had a very serious Derby dog here. Transpires, the form he's showing now is more the norm and although a chance to reach the decider, would fancy others more to lift the trophy

Judicial Ruling has been struggling with an injury and may miss Greyhound Derby semis on Saturday. Decision likely tomorrow.

I wouldn't wish luck like that on anybody but if he wasn't able to run it would be absolutely huge for me Plain

Pat Daly, owner of Judicial Ruling, had very much the opposite news of his charge.

Pat confirmed the rumours that all was not well with Judicial and he admitted that “I thought he had no chance of qualifying on Tuesday. He has been struggling since the second round with a shoulder muscle problem and we won’t know until tomorrow if he will be able to run on Saturday”.

hope the organisers are happy
5 dog semi final down to silly schedule
a week probrably wouldnt have been enough to recover anyway
but with so much dosh at stake
the trainer keeps it in just in case there's trouble
this is totally wrong and give's the ABS mob more ammunition

I think they will run

i think they will run, and to be honest, i think you have to. its the semi final of the derby, they ran him last two races when they felt he was feeling it, only difference now imo is the injury must be worse than it was pre-QF. think if it was run of the mill comp, or was a re-run like we had with molly, you pull the dog, but i think you take a chance here, hope the injury isnt as bad as you fear, then have a week with all the ultrasound and vet you can get in and see what you can do if you qualify; and hope you dont have to live with your conscience if the dog does a proper injury; or worse.

i did think the money at 30 was pf's. Laugh  trying to get him on side for cheapish. Cool

was tempted but had some room in the to make final book of mine so laid him there.  Winning me about 10k now outright Sad,  was hoping to take a few hundred at 16-20's.  Hopefully will rin for me book and i can take some now at 20?????  tho i doubt it. :-(

tbh, id rather be a backer for small at a silly price than go all out to lay it - still a fair chance the dog runs and got through last two rounds when supposedly feeling something, sometimes everyone thinking the same thing shoving something out can make it value to bet it; although appreciate no money on the market unless its you!!

anyway, good few beers down, 5.15am wake up call tomorrow so i can go gym before work tomorrow, i must be FECKING MAD.

If the dog has an injury he should not be allowed to run, could end his career. If he is not right he will not win anyway.

when the market opened i priced up to 105% and kept bugatti,  got filled in almost straight away on every dog bar judicial.  Taken half of what i wanted for judicial on bugatti now to try and un lob side me book but me not like these injuries worries.

Way down on what i wanted to take, but just have to be careful now not being in the know and all that.  I dread seeing the non runner thread being ttt.  i dont think i could open it. lol. Constantly refreshing the racing post / oddschecker.

Im now holding 10k green on him, i was hoping / planning to take 400 at 16 ish when the market opened, as most books were 12-14 so i think it would have gone.  There was 300 at 22.00 asking for a layer initially but i thought that was big (if the dog wasnt injured).  Would take that now.  Laugh

Eastmead, a thread has just been started on Indian Joe, had niggling injury but still won Derby. I know the dogs come first but semi of the English Derby is a once in a lifetime and could make his stud value and Judicial would have the life of riley, race again or not

Woodmanchester,Old enough to remember Indian Joe winning, you are right he had a niggly toe injury and won the final "on three legs"
I know the temptation is there but dont think it right to run a dog with a shoulder injury - or any injury. HOW CAN THEY PASS THE TRACK VET?
By:
woodmanchester
When: 18 May 12 16:33
Eastmead, they would have to be sound in the paddock but the risk is problem could flare up during the race, or even after the line, giving the trainer a week to get him right for the final. In these instances, trainers and vets really earn their wages!

When: 18 May 12 17:33
Droopys Scholes won The Derby with a niggle, I bet half of the dogs
still involved are not absolutely 100% sound, 2 races left, as long as the
injury is not really bad, you have to take a chance, having a chance of
owning/training a Derby Winner might only come once in a lifetime!!!!
