I thought Brinkleys Flyer and Malbay Phanter could go well at prices in the Plate.
Brinkleys Flyer done my bloody head in when over here and i wasted enough money on him, especially on his 750y debut when stuffed by Vinnies Contessa. However he ran decent enough during the Derby i thought and on the semi final draw has a massive chance of qualifing for the final. Malbay Phanter looks drawn in the toughest heat but i think he has done alright in the draw for that race. He should with one of his better breaks have the leading of Droopys Vito and Go Go Sonic and can lead the outside. The main 2 here King Jaffa and Taylors Cruise will have a battle to the bend and i can see Phanter getting a solo once coming away. |

I'm in the Freds Champ camp personally. If away in best style, may not be for catching. Danger Cruise but unlike him, Champ set to get the draw in the final and Cruise has lost a yard of early pace to turn in my book nowadays anyway. Phanter respected.
Although the best hurdler in the country and a favourite of mine, cant be having Olivers Twist at the price. Billis, Baran each-way better options. Think i'm gonna ignore the lot of them though and go 16/1 each-way Blackhall Prince |

I'm on Flyer for the Plate at 12s. Found time with every run at the Don this year and can continue to do so.

Track is like a sprint track this year stayers have found it very hard .. He has a nice draw in the heat between 2 slow starters... and then the final will come down to the draw |
