I noticed last night how good the Romford percentages were and in one particular race at Newcastle the fav. was returned at evens while only 1.85 was available on here for the last few minutes. So not all bad news.

Fair play to the Romford layers for those returns.

Thing is, theres no Betfair for them

They are lazy tw@ts at Kinsley and all perform deep oral sex on Betfair.

You have a YTS who is told what to put on one board, you have another who hasnt got a clue and follows whatever his brother puts up but puts the fav in shorter.

It was getting better a while back but they have gone back to what they know best. No need for it as they have every chance even betting to 120%, just look at the first bend.

Percentages mean nothing if theres no turnover.Like others have said, theres plenty of pitches out there, have a go if you think its that easy.

On my home visit 2 years ago I visited Kinsley. After the first race nonsense (aprox 150% from memory) I finished up betting on the tote as there was liquidity and my 20-30 quid a race made no difference. How many others dont bet with the books because of their cheating. What made it worse was they had absolutely no idea or interest in what they were doing. Absolute shambles.

However we had a fantastic night and it's still the best sport in the world.

the tote at kinsley is buzzing best tote ive ever visited even a bags meeting returns good dividends as its always packed, mr curran deserves immense credit for filling that track week in week out and why sell a pie for 50p when someones willing to buy it for a quid, the six packers dont know about percentages they just bet their 5ers or 10 ers on whatevers infront of them, I  only go now occassionaly as cant bet to those percentages , most of the trainers are ex flapping men who are just happy to get paid for a run and seeing as the chance of seeing bigger than 5/2 about your dog on a bookies board on a flap is akin to seeing lord lucan riding shergar in the derby whilst waving at elvis departing on a spaceship hand in hand with jesus, think they will be quite happy with 3/1 their dog

But it's not a flap is it, it's a properly licensed track. Yes we all know it's hard for the on course bookmakers but the retort "get a pitch yourself if it's easy" is completely missing the point and used far too much on these sorts of threads, the fact is an average SP return of 164% is absolutely pathetic.

i agree checkboxes, but you look at pelaw grange percentages, its hard to change the mentallity of ex flapping tracks

bags meetings they will be under instructions not to return over a certain %. Non-bags meetings anything goes

As in previous posts, it's easy to criticise but do you fancy having a go yourself? Many have tried and failed.

Applications to John Curran please . . .

Sorry, didn't know that to have an opinion on something you had to go out and try and do better yourself. I think Wolves are sh1te but I don't intend to approach Terry Connor and go "come on guv, gis a chance". Moron.

TCS - that's a bit harsh as I was only offering my opinion in respect of it's easy to be critical when on a keyboard. Your posts are usually enjoyable and constructive to read so it was a bit surprising to see your reply. Although now licensed, Kinsley still brings it's flap reputation as baggage with it. Curran tries hard there and has made big improvements but being a bookmaker at this type of track won't be easy as too many races not on Bags will have a flap feel to it. I'm not defending such high %, but I know many layers that have been and gone because they couldn't make it pay. The simple answer is you don't bet when high % are against you.

surely anyone can be a bookie
how much does the satchel, board and pitch cost ? other x's ?
most tracks would welcome you with open arms wouldnt they ?
just need a good bit of capital and you can have a go
wolves on the other hand are a different kettle of fish
... maybe if you turned up with the same amount of capital
i reckon they might let you have a go
for one match at least !
thats probrably how terry connor got the job Laugh
