16/1 Razl Bugatti to be top Dolores Ruth dog with Hills special bet. Only 7/1 with 365 to be top Razl dog, thats with Houdini instead of Cougar, in other words like for like, so 16/1 must be the value for JFK to slip up, with not much to choose between Bugatti and 9/2 Rioga on current evidence. The large discrepancy of 1/4 JFK and 16/1 Bugatti is likely to show in later rounds, assuming the Dolores dogs keep qualifying

Cuil Cougar withdrawn, so make that only a 3-dog affair now, still 16/1! Even our expert over the pond says nothing between the trio on best Irish form. Just depends what Dolores can get out of them now Wink

The only problem is that the race is around Wimbledon and not over here. On Wimbledon form Jayfkay is as good as anything in the competition in my opinion where as the other 2 have it to prove.

That's right but Rioga and Bugatti looked types to thrive round Wimbledon before coming over and Dolores could have any amount up her sleeve with them. As you know PF, the Derby isnt about winning in trial stakes or early rounds, only a dog hitting peak when it matters most ever wins the Crown. Thats why i think 1/4 JFK against 16/1 Bugatti cant be right?

Furthermore, what price was JFK when eliminated last year, 2/5 or something? These things happen and the Derby is notorious for it!

I'm not disagreeing with you about his price, you should back Rioga too @ 9/2 if you really want to take Jayfkay on. Anyway i hope all 3 are racing at 10.12 on May 26th

How would you price the 3 of them Woody? I never play these markets but agree i wouldn't think i'd have Bugatti that big but i'd have to have Jayfkay short enough

JFK is actually 2/9 now but couldnt be that short if it was a 6 dog race, but it aint. It isnt even a race, so open to conjecture but i probably could be tempted to lay 1/3 JFK, making Bugatti much shorter than 16/1 and as you say, Rioga musnt be discounted. To be fair, im struggling to split Rioga and Bugatti so given 9/2 or 16/1, thats why i backed Bugatti. Obviously, JFK has the form round here but one hiccup and chance he could be out, weighing in 16/1 on the toss of a coin then. All in theory, you understand though. You know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men Wink

1 - i am VERY VERY VERY PIE eyed on miraculously knocking out barca after about 8% possession over the 2 legs

2- i cant remember in this state the bugatti race, but at the prices u are not doing a lot wrong

I see Bugatti has leap-frogged Rioga in Hills ante-post betting now. When they re-open top Dolores dog, doubt they will be going 2/9 JFK, 9/2 Rioga and 16/1 Bugatti!

Prices update: 1/3 JFK, 9/2 Bugatti, 6/1 Rioga Happy

Absolutely gutted! Sad. After watching JFK and Rioga eliminated in the first semi, i was in the remarkable position of just a top 3 finish for Bugatti to win a large 16/1 payout. Droopys Jet ruined it for me. Equally bitterly disappointing as when Clerihan Gold won the 3 Steps at 33/1, where i had the top 4 in the betting running for me! Cry

Bugatti only has himself to blame unfortunately Woody, made a ballacks of the start and had no chance of qualifing from there Sad

Only saw it live on the screen and no replay but yes did make a ballacks of the start but thought if Jet hadnt come across him at that point, his pace up may have given him a sporting chance of holding on for a place?

Well as you have described it, which dog progreeses the furthest, the answer is they all got knocked out in the Semis.

Id be asking for the terms of the bet if they DIDNT pay me.

Its normally a stipulation in these bets that should the dogs be knocked out at same stage,it goes on highest finishing position and then it goes on fastest calculated time i think?(had bugatti and jfk both finished 4th scenario)
By:

When: 21 May 12 02:19
Not sure about that Patrick. I read the rules regarding the bet and it was highest finishing position if dogs went out same round. No mention of times they clocked. I think if Bugatti had finished 4th though, JFK would still have been the winner coz he won his quarter-final, whereas Bugatti didnt. It's a loser anyway, sorry Sad
