I was going to have a bet Friday but phoned Hills and they said it wouldnt be non-runner no bet, so leaving it till the day. Defeats the object of pricing up so early if you ask me. Therefore, sorry to say, think you might be on a loser Eastmead. I would dispute it if i was you though

Sorry.... How the f*** can a bet on a named selection in an individual six-dog greyhound race, with no reserves allowed, be anything other than "non-runner, no bet"?

That's what you would imagine Jane, but i specifically asked the Hills telephonist would i get my money back non runner. He went away for a moment, to consult his supervisor and returned saying no. Crazy, could be quite simply they got it wrong though and dont know what theyre doing. Think of a number time with some of these bookies sometimes! Crazy

Every dog qualifies in heat 18 so, no point in running it then, let those dogs have an extra week off Plain

According to Draper, Eden needs a run or two, trials not like races proper. Yes, if they all complete the course, all qualify

HELP REQUIRED...

The sponsors were doing a 'Red Hot Treble' at enhanced odds of 5/2 which contained...

Taylors Sky
Razldazl Jayfkay
Eden Star

Now there is a NR in the Eden Star race... will this bet get honoured still?

Big fat no anyway can't have Eden on my mind till 100% fit!
By:

When: 26 Apr 12 11:11
Well I basically thought I was getting 5/2 on Eden Star as I can't see Sky or JFK getting beat... also gives me an option if i wanted to trade out on Saturday as the other 2 are on Friday.

Quiery it Zach. 12/1 non runner should make no difference

Normally it would BSG but if it's special odds they may wish to recalculate the odds, which would be more or less the same, imo. Phone them Zach, if they reform, get on at the new odds

ON FRIDAY in heat four 8.45:
El Clive is a non runner (off colour - withdrawn 3.19pm Thursday) - T5 Vacant. This is also a five-runner race where all five will now automatically qualify (Silverview Perky's heat)
By:

They say all 5 automatically qualify but if one ko, dnf coz it was sore, but recovered for the 2nd round, it wouldnt be eligible, would it? Strange things have happened in dog racing before, like dog being knocked over yet still winning!

I know only splitting hairs. For all intents and purposes, yes, all 5 qualify in those races Happy
By:

When: 26 Apr 12 22:12
In other words, all they have to do is complete the course to qualify Happy

Hush your mouth Addy. Hope you havent spoken too soon! Happy.

Dont know about Jordans. Might have been ko'd but did it still finish the course? Think the rule is first 5 dogs home. If it dont cross the winning line, it's not "home"?

EDEN STAR, as short as 9-1 fourth-favourite for the williamhill.com Derby, tore a shoulder muscle during his first-round heat victory on Saturday, and has been withdrawn from the competition.
Trainer Barrie Draper said: "I've just come back from the vet's, and the advice is to leave him off for four to six weeks.I don't take chances with my dogs. It's just one of those things. I'm gutted."
Eden Star, winner of the Racing Post Juvenile Championship in
February, had been set to lock horns with defending champion Taylors Sky in round two on Friday.
