With Boris now indicating that Greyhound racing should become part of L&Q's plans, things look like they be moving in the right direction. I'm starting to think this really CAN happen.

Yes we can. Whether we will or not only time will tell but we will continue to try our hardest. Please all help by attending the 8 May meeting at the Town Hall-its crucial for those of you that want the Stow open. If anyone can spare a few hours delivering leaflets and posters (anywhere in Waltham Forest really) please get in touch. Either e mail me directly bdtaxservices@btinternet.com or via the saveourstow.co.uk site. Just let me know your address and how many A3 (for shops) and A5 (for door to door etc) leaflets/posters you would like and I'll post them out to you-please dont ask for more than you can realistically deliver-many thanks, Barrie

"DESTROY OUR HERITAGE"

... this is brilliant Laugh

Its the first time I have ever seen a non right wing organisation like the NF sticking up for their heritage, once this becomes popularised and goes beyond the monarchy, national trust and few other symbolic gestures god help the muslims. Abu Hamza has been taking the p out of ye for years lads, its about time ye COPPED on. Tolerance only goes so far. Well Done Lads.

If you don't stand up for your history and tradition whats the point in having a family and where's your culture ?

My culture is fish n chips out of newspaper, walking home from the pub Saturday night and getting sloshed Sunday lunchtime before going home for roast dinner. My England flag with be waving high and proud for St George's Day, Monday! Happy

In my view its a drifting 11/2 shot.  It's indicative that nearly all the Trainers interviewed by Richard Birch tend to be pessimistic about the chances of a reopening.

I would love it to reopen, and though I feel it's odds against one only has to look at the results in the Racing Post to see that loads of 11/2 shots triumph!

I wouldn't worry too much about what trainers think

The Stow trainers believed the Chandlers promises in 2007 of not selling the track and we all know what happened

The only chance L&Q have of succeeding in obtaining planning permission is through council corruption, and even then they probably won't break even/make a profit given 4 years of owning the site before any work is carried out and the housing market slump

Stella Creasy is not someone SOS wants to be associated with

She claims to work for Walthamstow yet votes on the party line regardless

I think Stella Creasy is a valuable ally to SOS, imo Nightmares. The same could be said of Ian Duncan Smith; he claims to champion social justice but always supports the Tory party line. Thats politicians for you, but the SOS campaign cuts accross party lines, which is why I think it has a decent chance of success.
