Entries have been held over til monday noon.

Am guessing its because some races havent filled which seems strange given gobata's statement on how open race trainers are on the floor that no-one fancies racing a monkey in a  one off?

The also-ran money has been criticised for the arc,i wonder if the top trainers are boycotting this meeting silently as not to upset badbrokes, after all, laddies can have a direct affect on some of them instantly, unlike betfair....hmmm

Agree GW, fancy Micko a bit too (kiss of death)! Happy. Think Boherna Bridge could be the danger

hi woodmanchester, i just thought 1 and 2 might get in eachothers way trting to lead, leaving 5 with a solo wide if holding 6 early.

3 obvious danger if breaking better.

price dependant but fancy 5 strongly, would be interested to hear patrick starr's view of its swindon runs so far.

thought micko was running the track poorly but was still clocking decent times, testament to how fast he is.

the 509 is even harder to run the first two bends, which is where hes been struggling, hes also looking to tack across around them two bends, which may not be a problem given he should lead 3 and 4(has been off after nearly losing his eye when attacked by a cat!Shocked)?

i really wouldnt like to put anyone off backing him as hes clearly very fast but personally i dont think i can back him,i'd probably play the budget option were i to back him and play the 56 sfc, theory being if he does lead the wide and tack across he makes room for 6 to come around behind him?

Done 11/8 Ballymac Pet with 5/4 Holy Ground (Hove) in a 4.34/1 double as main bet.

2/1 Wise Totty, 9/2 Go Go Sonic, 7/2 Lottes Girl and 4/1 Sawpit Sensation, all look fair enough to me too.

Come on Apollo!

Of course, I'd prefer him in 1 but he's in great heart and if you saw the Kent Derby, you will know he can do it the hard way. May the best dog win tomorrow and here's to a good night of racing.

Report woodmanchester • March 8, 2012 7:26 AM GMT
Cheers fingers crossed. Really annoys me when you have a good early price but you end up on the rip-off sp. In most cases it wouldnt have been worth having a bet, although some bookies will void a bet to let you change it
Report Addy_D • March 8, 2012 7:49 AM GMT
personally i would always want my bet void in those circumstances, being left to be on at sp with 120-150% overrounds you are unlikely to get any value, there will be the odd occasion where it still wins or it will be void and i not know there was a non runner until checking a result, but on balance i would want it void and then reflect on current prices nearer the time before deciding if to play again
Report woodmanchester • March 8, 2012 8:19 AM GMT
About the curtain-raiser on Sky, i'm with gwladys about Bit View Micko. Think theyve got the market wrong and i wouldnt have that and Boherna Bridge about 5/1 apiece. Done a little, speculative, reversed forecast, currently paying about 35/1 on Bet365
Report woodmanchester • March 8, 2012 9:31 AM GMT
Cant believe Me Buddy is as short as 4/1 and Crossfield Jet as large as 9/1, so simply played the Jet again.

PF would know better, but sure Jet has close sprint formlines with Spearhawk and Drumcove Lad in Ireland. Pretty sure either of those would be favourite for this! Okay, it was an indifferent run at Perry Barr latest but that doesnt make him no-hoper, as the market suggests, when he is capable of flashing out! Crazy
Report ReimerpYsatnaf • March 8, 2012 9:58 AM GMT
He would not see which way Spearhawk went, they raced twice once over 525y Clonmel (Spearhawk won 5.5L) and once over 350y Shelbourne (Spearhawk beat him 7L). He was beat the best part of 5L by Nambisco over 400y at Dundalk, he deat heated with Classical Beauty there too and was beat 3.5L by Yes Boss.

With regard to Addy's post if you take yesterdays Bags final at Belle Vue for an example 2/1 T6 Burgess Eagle in the am with Laddies and suddenly around noon a NR and a sub put into T5 which completely changed the make up of the race, and would have been a huge no no as regards a bet... The original T5 was a middle seed and the sub was an early paced wide seed now a major worry for T6... I'd say this was done in view of the big interest in betting T6 and whatever Books run HG decided change was in order.... but T6 opened at evens went off 8/11 and got no run as T1 bounded away.... as another dog in front of T6,T5 did her job blocked T6... Skullduggery, 4suir.... no doubt..... bags racing not 2cleen imho

also a nothing race for sure but Wise Totty is a right screw imo so not sure why everyone clambering around for limited value on her? she ran ok in behind ballymac pet perhaps thats why.... not the greatest line of form

oh well we all think differently thank goodness Happy

cheers czech, ive not backed her for a while, think the race at romford after the sky card was the last i did, dont like backing mine as such always keen to make sure im not being bias when assessing their chances, but even taking a bit of a step back i can make a case for her and had her in at 7/2 so just had a small play. like i said she led the fav at donny and i think to be honest her in 1 was an oversight as she should be a middle runner, i knew she would move off. i also have a small doubt at the minute about tracks first time up, she ran henlow awful as well first time there, which i know there and donny she can be forgiven for, but if she gets lost tonight then going forward you know she needs a sighter, if she runs well you can put it down to the tracks. definitely respect the 2 in the race as well though.

makeup of race see Jaffa and Sid leadin and comeing  together at 1st bend Loner taking it up Apollo goes 2nd and challenges of the 3rd bend takes it up of the final bend Ballymac scorches down the home straight and nails Apollo on the line.

7:40 was too hard for me.

8:00 penskey ran every bit as well as totty last week after falling out, trapped through the bars time before over 4 bends which is way too short these days. Think they were right to make totty fav purely on the fact that penskey does have to clear car park causeway sharpish, that said if he does, and i think he does tbh, then there aint much in them imo and i think this is penskeys perfect distance nowadays so at the price hes the bet.

Also played 62 12 sfcs(saver/bonus),2 is an absolute lunatic and is well versed around here, closely matched with causeway but shes toying with him when doing so.

8:15 Not particularly fussed on race,token suggestion on 25 sfc(5 nuts,catch pigeons)

835 red moves off, blue moves off, evens ballymac pet? You gotta be kidding me,no thanks. Wanted to take her on but what with? red moves off so swallow could have probs? can red even smash them up and go on and win? molly needs to pop, which we know shes capable of,but so many dogs swing off the 2nd when coming here without a look, even that may not be enough, though obviously she'd be most deserving winner after whats happened of late. 5 dont stay, meh, and 6 is going backwards not forwards. Horrid betting race,gl lads who've played.

850 bloody hard again, fantasy is over priced at 9/2 but its hardly a shovel on job,and people smashing 6 must have forgot how much early go go has not to mention swan storm, dont like betting dogs at that price that has to do an awful lot right to win, meh.

910 blue bee the lay of the night imo. short of season, even though won the golden jacket when very short,i think you can get away with it for a few runs, especially with a quirky type, they can often regress again though after they're purple patch. Still it aint easy to see what wins the race for me,think share the spoils is some sort of runner, very decent trial and didnt collapse last year over 710 at perry barr or the 714 crayford, dont like the 1 trial in a mth since the crayford run and needs to clear 6 early(who is chronically underpriced at 8s imo) so just having a small bet.

925 am genuinely surprised sawpit as is big as he is,dogs a machine and total eye candy, that said i wanted to take him on purely cos hes generally a poor trapper and will be behind some strong dogs. I bet longwood ante post but think i have every chance here to claw that back and then some, just think he leads and wins, obviously needs to tidy up on his trapping but he has a chance to even recover a poorish start and still get himself right up there at head of affairs hitting the first here (longest run up anywhere in the UK). Am wary of red but im generally happy to take dogs on 1st time up over 509. If longwood does trap tidy he will make for the rails on run up and give sawpit and scolari room to tow round behind him,for that reason am betting longwood and 54 56 546 564 casts for the absolute jewels.

945 Have bet loner at 8s and am more than happy with that, feel 1 and 5 got questions to answer as regards trapping from these locations and loner actually hasnt trapped like she can so far in this competition.Shes showed her liking for midfield draws before and she has the beating of 2 and 3 to the first where im hoping she gets across and forces jaffa in to the path of cryan who wont need an excuse to move off round the first 2 bends, not hard to see jazz suffering in that potential bother and hoping the fast track we've had of late is enough for loner to hold on tonight.

gl lads.

The only bet I had a look at was laddies 11/8 Sid w/o Apollo and that doesn't appeal greatly, would you back him at 11/8 to beat the other 4.....but apollo runs and 2nd to him for Sid and you draw, and Apollo could do damage to few around him with his pace and power so if I had Apollo ante post I would go with Sid in Laddies w/o market but no Swindon bet 4me..........

Mixed bag of fortunes. Disappointed with Crossfield Jet. Broke well enough but couldnt go the pace, i was warned too late. Yeah, in the absence of Dynamo Joe, fantastic 4/5 sp Lil Risky, running well.

Ballymac Pet did the business, super bitch. Incidentally, she has beaten good performers like Droopys Aretha and i'll keep following her at likely next step Sheffield now, given reasonable prices. Shame Holy Ground let me down for the 4.34/1 double at Hove.

Wise Totty did the job but boy, that was close!

Given Lottes Girl enough chances now. Seemed paceless not to hold her pitch and almost got herself tailed off. Cost me dearly last twice. Most frustrating runner ive been involved with for a long time, never again. Scribble going in notebook! Devil

Expected Apollo to do better than that.

Just thank goodness for the 35/1 Bit View Micko-Boherna Bridge forecast Happy.

PS, Not sure if you would have taken my advice if you saw it before the gym Addy, but it looked the bet to me for you, Pet-Molly forecast that was, really dont like Swallow Plain

.....you are the most disguisting aftertimer i have seen on this hole site..every week that the cliched crap you put up does not go exactly to plan you come on claiming to have backed some big winning forecast..disguisting aftertiming as usual.....

It's on the thread Shaneboy. I was agreeing with gwladys about Bit View Micko and highlighted Boherna Bridge the danger, saying think theyve got the market wrong. You usually notice these things Shaneboy. Not after-timing one iota. Not a great night but still well in profit, incorporating Henlow and Hove. Youre getting like Fatty used to be nowadays, always critical and putting me in a position where i have to explain myself. Where's this rising Phoenix of yours in 2012 anyway, after being voted worst judge of 2011? Mines running at Monmore! Laugh

Done 11/8 Ballymac Pet with 5/4 Holy Ground (Hove) in a 4.34/1 double as main bet.

2/1 Wise Totty, 9/2 Go Go Sonic, 7/2 Lottes Girl and 4/1 Sawpit Sensation, all look fair enough to me too.

Come on Apollo!

.....that was what you posted yesterday..guess what that your tips didn't end you in profit so you make up a forcast as you usually do..you where talking about the other race as you do with every race but did not mention doing a forecast..just like you did at sheffield before and when i brougt you up on it you said "i can change my mind"..DIRTY AFTERTIMER.....

.....so what i got voted worst judge..i openly say i am no good.....i'm not like you who posts constant cliched crap and thinks i am some great tipster who others would listen too.....all you are is a two bob aftertimer guesser who thinks he is better than everyone else.....

Jazz Apollo had a horrible draw, didn't help when he walked from boxes too but he was only beat around 1.5L, i thought he ran alright

As i said, it's on the thread. Speculative 35/1 reversed forecast Bit View Micko-Boherna Bridge. Yes, an additional bet. Only a small one but meant not losing. Youre telling me youve never picked dogs out and not had a side-bet? Not the main post, true, but there nevertheless. Yeah, a shade of cliche about my writing, puts things in a nutshell. Dont think im a great tipster better than everyone else. I do okay for me, over the past 7 years of keeping records and thats all that matters. Mainly preview and report. People will always make up their own mind about tips

PS, betting is ups and downs, swings and roundabouts. Just so happens Brave The Times was pivotal for me last night
