Only go for best dog in my opinion Addy, obviously not always right. Nothing to do with going for favourites, just personal favourites. All draws are not irrelevant but considering the unpredictable nature of dog racing, think a touch to much emphasis is placed on them

Just 3 qualifiers out of 5.

Brief summing-up of heats:

Westmead Melanie won going away, 29.69.

Cabra Legend won well, 29.46, gotta be pleased with that.

Crofter and Any Colours both won easily, the latter fastest of the night, 29.28.

Happy with the final heat where my pair Lenson Teddy beat Legal Rebel but only 29.77

I've not looked at the odds this morning, nor have I seen the draw properly. Westmead Melanie was first out of the hat in the semi-final draw, made immediately after Heat Six, and has the red jacket in an easyish race. She was very lucky to qualify in my opinion. Hugely impressive in weaving through them, looked like the real Jonathan Davies on a good day, but she looks smaller than whatever she is on the card (29kg or thereabouts) and probably won't get away with another couple of runs like that. Didn't exactly miss the break to my eye, but hardly cracked out and certainly didn't pick up too well on the run to the first bend. I didn't notice any major bumps on the run up, though I could be wrong.
Birchy's main ante-post tip, 20/1 poke Razldazl Zamba, was the most visually impressive after taking a bit of a whack on leaving the boxes. Looked to be flying and had them strung out like winnets on a sheeps arse. Took a nice line through the corners from what I could see, leapt the obstacles spectacularly... and the time was f***ing diabolical! I suppose the proximity of 12/1 poke Catunda Ramos for much of the race (eventually beaten 5+ lengths) was a clue. I had to ask a punter to confirm the time, as I didn't believe I'd heard 29.75. (Difficult finding a punter at Wimbledon, as opposed to a pi$$ artist or stag/hen reveller.)
Crofter and Any Questions, both slaughtered by Westmead Melanie after a bit of trouble last week, looked useful.
I would say that Cabra Legend would be the animal likely to give the jolly most to do. Drawn six again in the semi-finals, though outside Razldazl Zamba.
I can't see Birchy's other selection, Legal Rebel, improving enough to figure. Should have made more of an impression on Lenson Teddy off the last bend in the final heat, which looked pretty clean until the pile-up behind the principals at the fourth hurdle / third bend.
Lenson Teddy scuppered any six-timers on the jollies. 
Lot of freeloading drunks in last night, worse than many rounds of last year's Derby, but I didn't spot Birchy at all.
Surely he must have been there.

29.28 is an excellent effort for novices...look a decent bunch this year

Yeah, and remember last year's winner, Clonkeen Theo, was robbed in the Grand National

Hardly robbed Woody, he pulled himself up when hitting the front and jumped the last as if it was Beechers Brook

Be good to get some straight running fast hounds into hurdles again.

Just thought he would have won at 66/1 for me if not ballooning the last. Not a great champion, Toems Champ looked more the part at the time. Dont know off hand but think Springbok winners generally go on to run well in the National anyway?

Only one winner of Sprinbok ,Melanie is class above the others will only get beaten if she got in real trouble ,semi a formality!

Got half the field through ante-post to the final, but not Melanie. Only outside hopes
