Trialling today for Paul Sallis according to RP
By:
Bargain .. GL
By:
Must have offered fortunes for Tullig as they had already KO'd several offers.
Don't think the switch to K.Findlay was confirmed anywhere yet. |
By:
Sold for 50k Sallis gutted
By:
Paul Sallis has done a fabulous job with this dog, it would be a crying shame if this dog was moved. Thought the respective new owner also has dogs with Paul Young so maybe he could be in the reckoning too.
By:
Should have said that all respectives new owners all have dogs with Paul Young.
By:
Heard it will stay with Sallis till after Monmore Puppy Derby
By:
If you were going to move the dog you would certainly give it to K.Findlay before P.Young that's for sure.
By:
Greytom, you started this thread with " has tullig joy been sold ?" now your telling everyone the dog is staying with trainer untill after the puppy derby , where do you get this info or are you just 2nd guessing
By:
the new owner asked me to take it.i had to tell him politely that i had no room.
By:
serius i dont guess new it had been sold but like to keep low profile
By:
did it come off ok sat..? anyone know.
see its not running monmore puppy derby. |
By:
Wheres the list of entries for this MF?
By:
on the advance sheet in my hand..
![]() Not on monmores website yet... Like to think theyd get it up fairly quickly. |
By:
cant type it all out but anything specific i can answer for ya...
By:
haha, ok then...
I have heard that they don't think he has taken to Monmore which is why they haven't ran him. I don't know if that was decision by trainer or new owner though. |
By:
Is Daddy Knowsbest entered?
By:
If I had to guess, he would have a crack at the Blue Riband on Sallis home track where I think he has done the clock in a trial before and then a crack at the derby.
Again that is me only guessing though. |
By:
yes pf drawn red heat 3
By:
Thanks MF
By:
Tullig came off lame - misses Monmore - should be ok for Derby
By:
PF, you might be interested to know Phoenix runs from trap 5 in the first heat but keep it under your hat, now that i've just broadcast it to the world!

By:
Yeah i saw that, they should of left the dog with Reilly for a tilt at Wimbledon and that way they could of took in the Joe Dunne at Shelbourne too. Well that's what i've have done.
By:
Looks a huge player at Monmore to me. In the absence of Tullig, can only see Benkaat or Fifis as possible dangers, notwithstanding seen no form yet for any unknown quantities
By:
On Shelbourne form Confident Rankin would be every bit as good as him i'd say although 6 is a pig of a draw for him
By:
Not heard of that one, thanks PF. Remember being very impressed with Phoenix in a race i watched at Shelbourne. Thought it might have been a look-no-further job

First look it prob the strongest puppy derby depth wise I can recall wood.. Sat night I think 13 pups trialed 8 of em did 28.00-28.20. There is some huge ep and there will be plenty moving around on the way to the corner. Actually makes me wanna be a bookie again.......... nearly.
I suggest they get some blokes with hi viz vests and big table tennis bats for thurs.. to direct all the aeroplanes.. ![]() |
By:
It's always a good comp, i'd say every bit as good if not better than the Puppy Derby at Wimbledon
By:
Yeah poorly worded by me mate..
Id say the Monmore puppy derby is historically the strongest puppy comp and this year there is extra depth to the quality. I dont know how a lot of them race yet tbh.. but theres a whole lot of raw speed on display for sure. ![]() |
By:
Seem to recall, i went for the heats last year. Think there was Droopys Greg, the Express dog and Bugatti or was that Perry Barr? Memory like a goldfish, glub, glub, glub. All for some aeroplanes coming through but from what little i've seen, would be interested in the price of Phoenix
