Must have offered fortunes for Tullig as they had already KO'd several offers.

Don't think the switch to K.Findlay was confirmed anywhere yet.

Paul Sallis has done a fabulous job with this dog, it would be a crying shame if this dog was moved. Thought the respective new owner also has dogs with Paul Young so maybe he could be in the reckoning too.

Should have said that all respectives new owners all have dogs with Paul Young.

If you were going to move the dog you would certainly give it to K.Findlay before P.Young that's for sure.

haha, ok then...

I have heard that they don't think he has taken to Monmore which is why they haven't ran him.

I don't know if that was decision by trainer or new owner though.

If I had to guess, he would have a crack at the Blue Riband on Sallis home track where I think he has done the clock in a trial before and then a crack at the derby.

Again that is me only guessing though.

PF, you might be interested to know Phoenix runs from trap 5 in the first heat but keep it under your hat, now that i've just broadcast it to the world! Grin

Yeah i saw that, they should of left the dog with Reilly for a tilt at Wimbledon and that way they could of took in the Joe Dunne at Shelbourne too. Well that's what i've have done.

Looks a huge player at Monmore to me. In the absence of Tullig, can only see Benkaat or Fifis as possible dangers, notwithstanding seen no form yet for any unknown quantities

On Shelbourne form Confident Rankin would be every bit as good as him i'd say although 6 is a pig of a draw for him

Not heard of that one, thanks PF. Remember being very impressed with Phoenix in a race i watched at Shelbourne. Thought it might have been a look-no-further job

First look it prob the strongest puppy derby depth wise I can recall wood.. Sat night I think 13 pups trialed 8 of em did 28.00-28.20. There is some huge ep and there will be plenty moving around on the way to the corner. Actually makes me wanna be a bookie again.......... nearly.

I suggest they get some blokes with hi viz vests and big table tennis bats for thurs.. to direct all the aeroplanes..Laugh

It's always a good comp, i'd say every bit as good if not better than the Puppy Derby at Wimbledon

Yeah poorly worded by me mate..
Id say the Monmore puppy derby is historically the strongest puppy comp and this year there is extra depth to the quality. I dont know how a lot of them race yet tbh.. but theres a whole lot of raw speed on display for sure. Happy

Seem to recall, i went for the heats last year. Think there was Droopys Greg, the Express dog and Bugatti or was that Perry Barr? Memory like a goldfish, glub, glub, glub. All for some aeroplanes coming through but from what little i've seen, would be interested in the price of Phoenix
