whats the point of giving a contract to a track where no bookmaker in the country is going to take a bet from.

I would be very surprised if we still have Bags racing in two years,go into any betting shop day or night and how many people do you see having a bet on the dogs.

they would not have them if they did not make a profit.

I still cant makeout why they want to payout thousands of pounds to a track that in the case of billys and joes are not going to take bets there even when there back on bags.

bags will not be around for much longer...the big firms are under massive pressure to cut expenses to service their huge bank debts....the idea of paying tracks (other than their own) quite large sums of money to stage races that they will not take a sixpence on is madness. When Bags ends I fear for the majority of non-bookmaker owned tracks. Sorry to be so pessimistic but it is not hard to see which way the wind is blowing.......

There was a race last night at the track with no name ,where the winner found a chunk of time backed of the board, how much would you get on in the shops .

It's not because of the racing being**that you can't get on, its because the high street firms have suddenly realised that there are judges out there who know what they are doing.

I've worded that very poorly, I didn't mean to say that the racing was** what I meant to say was that the bookmakers are restricting people MOSTLY because they are good judges not cos they have inside info.

its a bit of both checkboxes, there are some great judges at the game but i was with 2 people earlier today who gave me a dog to back at a certain kent track this week, the reason not being becasue it is particularly fancied, but because the price of the dog is going too be way too big!!!! nudge nudge wink wink ;)
