I do think that the national paper should have a decent columnist on a Saturday. Whether its views on the current state of affairs, or just views on the latest/upcoming events, just some one to get a bit of talk going, rather like this forum once used to.

Whether Birch is doing as instructed, or has taken it upon himself to write as he does, I think it's a fking disgrace that people are asked to read this shyt. Whilst hardly vital, that bit of space could be taken up with far more interesting and debatable issues.

As someone who writes a column on the upcoming main races (for basically fk all pay), it stuns me that he gets away with it - basically, laughing at punters who pay his wages.
