Rule 23 Greyhound - age calculation, minimum age to run, Puppy definition
The age of a Greyhound shall be reckoned as beginning on the first Day of the Month in which it is whelped. A Greyhound under the age of 15 Months shall not run in any Race or Initial Trial; (e.g. a January whelp not before 1st April the following year). A Greyhound shall also be termed a Puppy for a period of 24 Months from and including the Month of whelping; (e.g. a January whelp until the end of December the following year).

Puppy Stayers are quite hard to find. Harlow and Romford do them but they are both less than 600m. Monmore had one last Sat night.

Ian, as a result are they heavily subscribed do you know?

Don't think so particularly. I think we entered one at Oxford a few months ago and it didn't fill. You are almost as well off going in a maiden stayers. After all if a dog hasn't won an open by the time it's say, 2 and a half, it's not that great.

Thats a fair point, cheers

True, often these maidens are filled with desperate connections trying to get a win. We stole a 545 maiden at Mildenhall once, with a fairly experienced ** who needed that particular c and d, against some pups 'they' thought may need the trip. 5l and many of Bunny's quids later...

I would just say, avolid Farloe Rocket if you can! GL
