was just discussing death of racing on another thread
its over for sure |
By:
scurlogue champ was a freak...however..some of his opponents were patent non stayers....after all it is only a very small fraction of greyhounds that will stay extreme distances....it goes against all of their breeding really!......more dogs are bred to have stamina now than in those days yet still very few really stay!

By:
jockey, shall i name a few of those non stayers. where shall we start?? glenowen queen, track man, jet circle, my tootsie,(stayed longer than the mother in law). keem rocket. who could ever forget the races at romford where they even came up with a slightly shorter distance over 715m. same result, without doubt the greatest crowd puller ever, ps i must admit to having a documentary
on the great one albeit in high quality vhs. lol |
