Have him in some doubles too, had him doubled with Cue Card today and Aide Lewis in the darts.
I was against him all the way in the National Puppy Stake on value grounds (thought he was constantly too short, think i was proved right by the prices he was on course), but over 550y he should come into his own. He does not possess enough early for the 525y trip in top class in my opinion but from halfway he absolutely tanks home. The dog is quite clever despite getting trouble in the National Puppy Stake Fianl (when unlucky) but i thought he showed good enough trackcraft in previous rounds and being a (w) is also a help as there are not that many around these days. The extra 25y is a huge plus as he would get 600y not a problem and with his finishing kick unless getting put on the floor it is hard to see how he does not finish in the 3 every time. While i thought he was always underpriced by the off course books in the National Puppy Stake i actually think he is a decent price at 28s for the Irish Derby even at this early stage. Dolorus won't overrace him next year and will go for either the Produce Stakes or Easter Cup before the Champion Stake and Derby i'd imagine and she will no doubt have him at his peak next Aug/Sept.
Had 2 more points the other day! And been trying to do doubles had sky and will in a derby double but they won't let me place a will and JFK double? Same first name but that's it as dogs go!

My book will more than likely revolve around taking Milldean Panther on the way the prices are as of now, come August i will have a saver on him just to get stakes back

He can't win in my opinion as he is not good enough around Shelbourne Park. He does not trap as well at Shelbourne as he does at Wimbledon, he does not seem to show the same early and the best runs he has done around Shelbourne are not good enough to win a Derby in my opinion. I would ignore the prices he went off at last year, i said all along he was ridicolously underpriced nearly all of last year. (i then said i thought he was massivly overpriced for Wimbledon this year).
He just does not run the place nearly as well as he does Wimbledon in my opinion and i don't think 50s is that great a price. I do take Fatties point though that a good run at Wimbledon (which i think he can win) will see him shorten and you could take a free bet if you wished so from a traders point of view the 50s could be a good price but i ain't a trader.

thx for explanation PremFan. I think his sectionals at SPK compare pretty well with others that got to end of Derby competition. He did get into more than hos fair share of trouble so maybe you're righr re trapping better at the Don at momentum carrying him clear. However he's older and a little more experienced this year so perhaps what he's doing at Don will carry forward to SPK.
Whether or not you agree 50's is value, you surely have to admit there's many in front of him in the betting, that shouldn't be.
Annoying that betfair not carrying a market. Cheers

JFK into 25's of those firms showing odds this morning following JFK's excellent Round 2 clock run at the Don last night, and as low as 12's with Hills. Dolores has said he's much much better out of the Don traps, so gotta hope when his English Derby campaign is over she starts schooling him out of the SPK traps lol.
Come on Betfair when you gonna give us a market?

fattie, think Bubbly Phoenix has very decent chance, good sectionals and form last year at SPK albeit in inferior races/trials..as a pup
Paul Young Phoenix trainer looks to be taking a fair few dogs over, and I reckon Phoenix will be well suited. the last of 33's at 888 and Blue Square went yest (presumably the hundred odd owners on Phoenix have all steamed in) and now 20's best.
I think the first 3 in your portfolio look very nice, good luck
when do you reckon BF will put market up?

Tyrur Sugar Ray - He's only had 3 races but been hugely impressive in all of them. On his first start at Harolds Cross he was slow away and got early bother but showed big pace to get around a distant 2nd and flew down the back to close on the leader. Then he came to Shelbourne and did a brilliant 28.49 in an A5 semi final before winning the final from 5, a far from ideal draw in 29.14 (-70) on a very slow track. His trial 2 weeks ago was absolutely stunning, he didn't come away yet still clocked 28.32 and then last Saturday night (which i missed being in Wimbledon) i was told he came away much better and clocked 28.25 The dog has massive pace as he has shown so far and is still not 2 until July. On what i've seen so far he'd prefer to be near the rails but he's so lightly raced he may in time learn to hold his line to the bend better. He's in Saturday night in a decent puppy race and if going around in front will clock some time and will be slashed in price.
