Had him down as a sprinter of the highest order early days , but when hes out trapped with sprinters he's knowhere near the same dog from off the pace . If he can get his trapping spot on he's going to be some dog , but i honestly can't see how a dog with that much early toe can stay this type of trip in Scotland so well , usualy takes it's toll on early pace at some stage and like you i agree that he can't win if not leading and may also down tools if getting led up . He may of settled down or grown into himself from puppy hood , come to himself now , but he certainly didn't stay any further than 400m at Top pace as a puppy . The 480m at Shawfield is a lung buster of a 4 bend trip .

Followed him for ages last year. WAs convinced after his exploits against Westy at The Don that he would be a super sprinter. In fact, i still do. Looks more the sort for 420m comps but you cant knock him...be interesting if he can keep his form for the whole saeson, as he certainly didnt do last year.

Wouldn't touch him for the Don derby , plenty of sprint types go for that and if hes led he'll go out . Also the Shawfield comp doesn't help any dog for the Don , tough comp and it sends them to the Don jaded imo . This dogs all early and the Scottish comp will knock some of his early . He should be 500/1 for the Don

Best of luck Cammy , like i've said before i had him down as a superstar sprinter early days . TBH he's disapointed me big time , his trapping hasn't helped at times , especially when he gave Jimmy Lollie a 5 length start and flew coming home one evening . If he traps he'll easily lead these 4 bend dogs with his blistering early . Definatly improving in terms of his staying powerand he somehow did a time last week , im convinced he only stays 400m at Top top pace but could scramble home if one or two of the hot pots get held up .
Is he a dog who takes his races well enough ? Does he lose form after 3 runs ? Just not sure about him right now as his forms been very patchy . Cracking early and he'd easily lead to 400m - 430m if hitting at trap rise .
