The reason there are few first time winners is they play first as amateurs: Matsuyama; Woods; Garcia; Mickelson; Immelman; Olazabal; O'Meara; Crenshaw; Nicklaus; Stadler; Tom Watson; Aaron. Plenty of first-timers have lead after the first round which sticks a pin in the notion the course takes years of learning, Brandel Chamblee an example. |

CAM YOUNG and MATTY FITZ have both done me favours this year and easy to see them contending late on, COLIN MORIKAWA is a strokes gained tee to green machine, back in winning form this year and the injury concerns are compensated in the odds, while I've backed PATRICK CANTLAY blindly for years. Few years since he last won but showing enough to be worth a go at 100's on here - in fact when he returned after disappearing off the planet he was 400 for the Players and went out in the second last group on the final day before dropping out of contention.

Pity about the poor start for Young, if he hadn't dropped a few shots in the first nine, he would be in a good position. He's making a good go of getting it back though. Burns and Griffin also giving a decent run for my money. I'll be more than happy to see Rory winning again, though.

Butch Harmon doesn't know what hole it is, who is hitting the shot, probably what day it is. Fair play to him for continuing to get paid by the pros but not sure why we have to tolerate him still.

i think one of the top 10 going into the final round shoot will shoot 64/65 and whoever that is will have a great chance of winning it. I cant see Cam Young being the one to go 65-65 on the weekend to win the masters. Ive laid him to the max.If Rory sorts his driving out he'll win comfortably, probably only needs a 68 to the others 65's.
