Some very strange pairings....and Luke Donald and backroom team seem to be light years ahead of KB and USA.  Not only putting Morikawa and English out but then putting them out again as if to say 'I'll prove I was right".  Henley and Scheffler likewise.  No doubt KB is a stuffy competitor...but really looking like a woeful Captain devoid of ideas right now....

Was a surprise choice for me.  But then the big, big players probably view it as a poisoned chalice.  Job unwanted imo.

Luckily for him his players pulled him out of a potentially disastrous experience . But when you have overall technically better 12 players on your team and you are beaten at home it paints the proper picture . Out "Teamed" .

There should not be a USA Ryder Cup anywhere near New York for at least 20 years in my book.

Hopefully the USA will have Tiger as Captain in Adare Manor . He deserves that , and would guarantee  a good relationship here in Ireland . The Ryder Cup was set up to foster sport , that is sometimes forgotten .

Tiger as captain?  His own personal playing record in the Ryder Cup bi-annually confirmed the FACT that team play is an alien concept to him.

Tiger captained a Presidents Cup victory in Melbourne . Plus has been a vice captain in Ryder Cup. Other prospective candidates are not inspiring in my book.

Who was the last US captain who managed to lose a Presidents Cup?

The US handicap themselves by insisting on a rookie captain for every Ryder Cup. If they took it seriously they'd have appointed Stricker for the last two.
