I have just confirmed with Betfair that they will not be making any unusual adjustments to the market in the event that Scottie Scheffler was withdrawn in the US Open. When Tiger was trading at similar prices, I seem to remember that they wrote special provisions into the rules.
I know it's unlikely to happen, but layers will have a horrible situation if SS was taken out and the other prices were not adjusted.
Anyone remember Jon Rahm leading the Memorial by 6 shots after 54 holes, then testing positive overnight and having to withdraw. he was obviously very short in the betting too

If they start it's different from withdrawing beforehand.
Imagine you bet Rory, Bryson and Scottie to win and then Scottie is withdrawn, you've got 9/1 each the two for Bryson and Rory, who will be about 5/1 each (I'm talking about on the Exchange). There's no rule 4 and you get your money back on Scottie.
