Don't know--shouldn't be to difficult to find out.

Check out Open that Paul Lawrie won.

As it happens, it was the Soudal tournament last year. 11 shots.

The largest known comeback in a final round of golf, where a player wins after being behind, is 11 shots. This happened in the 2024 Soudal Open, where Linn Grant overcame a deficit of 11 shots to win.

He was 1000 on here , probably much bigger with the books.Kaymer blew a 10 shot lead with 9 or so to play , not sure what the deficit to the winner was at start of day , less than 11 by the sounds of it.Kaymer never the same after that defeat.

Sebastian Soderberg very similar to Kaymer was in Qatar. Soderberg beaten by Linn Grant last year after holding a momentous lead with nine or so to play. Very similar to Kaymer poor Soderberg can barely hit his backside with a banjo now(but maybe he has time). Begs the question why would LIV want Kaymer? Saying that why would LIV want Anthony Kim. I remember Cink coming from a mile back in the US. Lawrie nine shots back at carnoustie 1999 as stated above. Darren Clarke blew a huge back nine lead to eventual winner Westwood many moons ago also

funny you mention Soderberg and can barely hit his backside with a banjo, and today he just shot a 8 under round to put himself into contention at the Austrian. maybe he was reading Grin

Absolutely JPSER. Mercurial player Soderberg and yes I've always had foot in mouth syndrome. I hope Soderberg wins this year or next but can't help but think of the damage that loss to Grant has inflicted on his confidence. On a side note . Not a peanut in the markets on the euro tour - even in play on a Sunday! Variety of reasons I know not least all these ruddy affordability checks. DP tour doesn't help with the general lack of quality on show week in week out.

Not sure what happens to him on a Sunday but he'd push Scheff over 18 , today he's 5 under thru 7.
