IMuch as I'd like him to win -I just can't see it. He doesn't seem able to put four decent rounds together. All parts of his game are brittle. However I think that coming off his last round in Texas with a bogey free 66 and a good 12 ft. putt on the last must give his confidence a useful boost. If he can blank out the hype about the Grand Slam and treat it as just another 72 holes to be negotiated and get his mind in the right place ...who knows ?

only thing with rory times is its rory time 4 times a yr for last 10 yrs, 40 and counting, for what its worth i always stick a fiver on rory on slybets hotspots £ back for every birdie ,he usually gets you your fiver back and little else for rest of the week

McIlroy looks knackered - can't believe he's only in his mid thirties

as predicted £4 of your fiver back on slybets hotshots, if you did rory, hasnt had much more than 4 birdies since

Should've divorced her earlier Rory lad .... In great form whilst clearly in turmoil at same time...
Hope he nicks another Major. |

Decent start.....

Won the last renewal here. Soft conditions. No wind. Low scoring birdiefest. All sets up perfectly for McIlroy - he will never have a better chance of winning another major than this.

Really close now between the leading 10 players. Lowry is on a roll and Justin Rose still right in there. Rory is hot just now but I suspect there is a big bogie coming soon.

the golf schedule these days beyond ludicrous squeezing all the majors into a 3 month spell. tennis much more sensible in spreading them out through the year
