The vaccine does not stop you from getting covid.  At this stage they THINK it will decrease your chances of ending up in hospital with it.  Again this will be based on an individuals general health

Heartbreaking for Rahm, back to back handshakes with Jack gone. Would have been runaway fave at Torrey Pines for the US Open, a course he loves and now stuck in isolation until the 15th, US Open starts 17th.

I'm in deep shock after just checking scores Monday morning 7.30 am here in Ireland. To say I am disappointed is an understatement after Betfair already settled my punt on John Ram as a losing bet. Along time ago I bought some shares on the Irish stock Exchange. Probably in the first month of Paddy listing as a public company. Then Paddy lists in LSE and the rest is history. I was ready to invest further in Fanduel if the opportunity arises. Hope the PR executive see to it that punters on Rahm do not get completely wiped when Paddy Power Plc are doing their bit. It will be interesting where the other exchanges go on this.@therhino.... I cannot even drown my sorrows.... that would be worse for me.

With golf being an outdoor sport anyway, don't see why Rahm can't play his round on his own, carrying his own bag. It's a bit daft really, with him being so far clear. It's a bit mean to take this from him, he's miles clear.

Not sure why anyone on here would be expected to get paid out on Rahm.  It's like a horse a distance clear and falling at the last.  Due to covid rules he had to leave the competition.  Nothing to do with Betfair.  It's harsh for his backers but the rules are clear

That's a daft analogy comparing Rahm to a horse falling at the last. Feel sorry for backers but the exchange is sticking to its rules.

Sometimes betting with a high street bookie can pay dividends. Ex gratia payments may be paid by them in exceptional circumstances such as this. I know PP has done it and im sure more will follow.

Only hope for Rahm backers is the Pga call the tournament early. They should considering he has played with the 2 leaders the last few days but we kbow they wont.

I am sure they will be happy to let Cantlay and Colin play as the people organising it basically went up to Rahm and hugged him when he was a known postive case. Both in his face and the the pats on the back. I would say only in America but the way we have handled it here in the Uk the 51st state.

Not disagreeing with your point of view.  Odd/strange situations do happen and this is one of them

Very often we have seen 'suspended' appear. Lots of times for no good reason. This market should have been suspended once the suspicion arose that there may be a problem with the a leading player.
Very dubious activity allowed take place. Very questionable policing by the platform hosts.

It's the nature of punting. Risky business, winners and losers (and many of the latter)
Tough luck really. Punting is often born out of greed, so sometimes we face the consequences

Correct on both counts. He can't (and to be fair doesn't) have a complaint to make- he was given the option to play but with daily testing and a possible WD hanging over him, or being cautions and not playing at all, which would have been the safer option rather than risk spreading it further. He took the risk and the forced WD is a consequence of that decision. Hopefully he hasn't needlessly spread it to others over the last few days.

365 have just paid out on my Rahm winner for £735.  Great decision I obviously think but it shows how some companies look after their customers

The virus is highly contagious no way the PGA Tour could be seen to endorse someone playing when they know they have tested positive. What happens next week when someone tests positive on the wednesday or thursday? What if multiple people do?

Tough look on Rahm but as I said earlier highly dubious he was ever allowed to start. Let hope he has not passed the virus on to anyone else this week.

Nobody with inside info knew.. Just before the broadcast finished the music starting to play and the camera panned to rahm who was visibly upset .. I clicked straight away that he was DQ for some reason and laid 1k at 1.25.. It just gradually went up and up til it went to silly prices.
