Stick a pin in about anyone of twenty five or more.
One minute someone plays great, maybe even wins a tourney then the next he doesn't even make the cut? Pure lottery. |

All reports suggest Augusta is super firm - let's hope they keep it that way and what we see has zero resemblance to what we watched in November. Short game brilliance and putting will be essential if it stays as they are describing so looking toward a couple of former champs in Reed and Spieth - not sure why Jordan is drifting, I think he should be right alongside DJ at the head of the market.

Spieth
Cam Smith Fitzpatrick so far. Big Dusty far too short for me, as is DeChambeau. Augusta National, Thursday morning, mist lifting, and the sun beginning to peek through.....HEAVEN! |

horses for courses is the Masters and the bookies have priced it up accordingly so the front runners are way skinny but they will be figuring so what can you do?
Schauff is out of form and confidence and doesn't exactly win hard held when he does but at 28 could be some value if he can find some spark Koepka could go close but you'd have to worry how sound he is Reed is overpriced imho and could have a good run at it Cam Smith can play some good stuff Fritelli could figure but he just won't get it done under the cosh Homa you never know as ever gets the juices flowing |

Agree with some of the points above chaps.
Horses for courses... Spieth drift strange...I though back nine drove it superbly Sunday, putting looked right back, been looking like coming for a few weeks now as weve openly discussed on here, barring a Hoff superb run Spieth wins by 6,7 and he may be real short. Be surprised if not right in the mix, with confidence almost restored though at times still looked shaky. The other market leaders are just default but DJ Rahm X not exactly in great nick, Rory you could add but I do think becoming backable at 20 plus. He can just find it from nowhere, so much talent... Jones or Lanto for the retiral win. Spieth main bet so far by long long way. Pairings out today I assume? |

Spieth and Bubba backed in Feb - added Willett and having oosty and westy EW. Smaller stakes, had to have a go in the lefty market as a fellow lefty lol - Bubba at 3.25 a no brainer. Can we all forget November happened and get back to normal? don't get me wrong it was nice seeing DJ add to his tally, but it just wasn't right was it.
Here's Coley's guide: https://www.sportinglife.com/golf/news/the-masters-player-by-player-guide/189781 Casey - Ex-human rights activist - lol ouch |

Bubba played pretty decent at the matchplay, but surely he's too old now at 42. It's only the greats of the game that have managed to win here in their 40s.

westy at 60s, put in a lay at 25ish hopefully free rolling after that. maybe similar tactics with casey , but have backed schauffele ew 22s 10 places despite him not being totally on blob.

I fancy Morikawa and Thomas if the putter works. Hail Mary on CT Pan. Rahm interesting, and Spieth the biggest quandry. I backed him last week, but can't quite convince myself he played well enough to win this. I am very very against Bryson and probably DJ.
If you haven't read Ben Coley's player by player guide on Sporting Life, there are some amusing lines - Paul Casey mentioned by Hank above, but many others such as Leishman "Keen gardener who plays a bit of golf" and Cameron Smith "Laidback Australian (would be a tautology but for various tennis nutcases and Madge Bishop)" As I have the next to afternoons off for Aintree, I will probably habe my main plays at the half way stage. Best of luck. |

Never seen a brown green at Augusta. Wind set to die late today so could be interesting for those going in the middle of the day, have to fancy Spieth and Thomas and would love to see them go head to head final group Sunday. |
