nobody has started a thread so thought i'd pitch in. respect the favourites here but they'll be very much an eye on pebble beach for them. therefore could well be value outside the "big four". I must admit though out of the favourites my top choice would either be Koepka, who's wedge game is ideal for this, and seems to be driving it fairly accurately, and Justin Thomas, who's out of the favourites, is the only one who's current starting price is actually bigger than his strike rate.
I'll take two against the field, lowry and lucas bjerrgard (or however you spell it.)

Must admit I thought he might tank and head down the road rather than plug away over the weekend but showing a bit of pride. Seems to be playing easy so should still see some low ones in the afternoon.

Yeah, course not putting up much of a fight today, hopefully toughen up a bit on the weekend, don't want to see a classic course like this completely taken apart.

I'm a big fan of Canada and Canadians and it would be such a pity if their national champion was Matt F-cking Kuchar.

Got nothing really going this week Hank, took a bit of last night off. Have been taking on Simpson and Lowry so that didn't really go well. Tonight could still be interesting though.
Should be an interesting evening

Very strong so far but you just never know with Rory. Start of a national Open sweep?
Normally I'd root for someone to keep it interesting but given Kuch is the chaser happy for Rory just to disappear out of sight.

Yeah, I get the feeling he was maybe here to fulfil the new event rule but this is a big shot in the arm for him going into the two other Opens.
Few better sights in the game than Rory in full flow. Koepka gets the plaudits for the majors but this will be Rory's 10th top 10 in 12 events this season with two wins. That's incredible consistency.
You're right, when he is in full flow it is great- It's hard watching when he hits a great drive, good approach and then hits a shocking 5 ft putt for the miss - this is much better to see!
I do hope the Canadians get their winner soon - fantastic support and who could begrudge the Canadians. Getting closer jedi 1.5 pts behind fav right now
Presumably this will get Rory past Rose in the OWGR, and rightly so, for me on A-games its Rory, Brooks and DJ then the rest. And strong argument on all-round results this year Rory's still the best of the three.
