Wells Fargo Championship

I know right!

Playing with fire Hank, matter of time before an ominous becomes an OMINOUS.

I'm prepared for a Sunday afternoon OMINOUS if necessary

Never lets you down, though.

Haven't seen or used the emoji in a while, cheers to your bravado Hank for inspiring the return of a classic

fk my eyes are bad, I can't even see the expression you posted without my reading glasses

The power of the ominous brings Dahmen's first bogey in 2 rds

He felt the bold text and capitals no doubt.

what did you make of Murray in the draft rhino? I'd love him to succeed, but it'll be tough

Hard to say Hank. Logic says he's too short but the game is changing, athletic QBs all the rage atm.

After leaving him off the roster for a few weeks, there's only one man I'm interested in mounting a charge this afternoon.

Keith?

Of course.

Didn't look like there was one 63 out there let alone two.

So much for Keith.

Keith playing well today.
Thinking this has the look of a classic tomorrow.

double for Dahmen - going to be very tricky out there today - can't see anyone beating Garcia's rd

ffs thought he was on his way out with db, bogey, and now back to even par for the day

Plenty in this..
Rickie at his usual I note.
Cream may rise though,Rose n Rory..

Thanks Rickie

Hoping Garcia does not make a charge, rather pull out my own teeth than watch him.
Boring,slow,hayes golf it seems,a miserable ****....
A putt reaching the hole is how I suggest he improves.

FU RICKIE,LOOKING FOR SOME IRISH POWER,not the mince plzzzzzzzzzzz

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rickieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Reckon 'The Mince' does this 750 @ 3-1, good luck.

Forgot the decimal point MONEY.

The rest on Purple for the disbelievers.

Jed x

Rory n Rose for me too...

Full half point shorter with 2 pars Rory.
Rose better start.

You know it makes sense.

Dahmen has borrowed Lewisham's 'going out' trousers, that has concerned me how this may play out .

Come on 'Mincer', put these mugs' to bed.

Already well deep laying Mcilroy at c. 4....looking at this leaderboard ....has to be too short at current c. 3.5 still

****g braindead.

An absolute masterclass in spanking away tourneys from Rory.
Week in week out.

I am going to get fked here by Dahmen not having to be in last group

OMINOUS

Yep, looks like 'The Mincer' done me dough here , looked at his final round stats which weren't good but thought he had the quality and the course history to do the business.

if only duf could putt

Big if.
My 7 year old a better putter than Duf.Seriously.

Rose huge runner here for me.
Long long way to go.

You gotta chance with Rosey Jed, good luck mate.

Yeah, I prob need Rose from here - Homa doing better than I thought he would in last pairing. Rory - disappointing is not the word for it

think the wedding bells have ffff rory, all that psychobabble crap he came out with a few weeks ago was sure not a good sign

Garcia making a push, tbh I thought Rickie would be the one

For someone with his talent the way he has played final rounds lately is quite frankly embarrassing....
Honestly.

Rory obviously.

That's a poor chip from Rose

Doesn't matter when you're a great putter though!

wow db for Rory

Spunked 5,6 shots in last 45 mins.

nice putt from Homa after not a great bunker shot

How long since we had a 1000-1 winner?

Stick with it Rosey.
Mistakes incoming.

Dahmen celebrating hitting a fway- not exactly the actions of a winner lol

Looking very much like a 1000 priced winner. Horror show for some.

I had to go nuclear rhino, bold and underlined was needed!

MAX 4 ahead,awful rmc

Must've had plenty of chances to trade out already Hank?

I don't normally trade out rhino, usually add other lays

Hopefully going to avoid the weather cell

Huge old putt coming for Homa - let's see how the nerves are holding up

very good effort

Gonna take a water ball or two to save the field here.

yeah, that was a very nice scramble again

Once again McIlroy has faded badly on a Sunday when in contention.  Have we seen the best of Rory in previous years?  Doesn't look like he has pushed on.  Regressing more one would say from his lofty heights

hmm bit of a mistake from Homa there

wow what a terrible time to go off for Homa - coming back for a decent sized par putt

Dont agree, think it's a good time for Homa....
Beginning to twitch, pissing rain etc not good.

Does him big favour imo.

Homa vs Dahmen very much like Ernst vs Lynn here a few years ago.

Agreed he was getting twitchy, but not nice to come back for that size par putt - I will be gutted if Dahmen backdoors this

Good point rhino - another time when all the big guns that were up there played poorly and faded away

if i had to guess id say a break would really wreck the heads of the lesser lights more than the battle hardened codgers like rose etc

Even if missed still has 2 in hand of Dahmen and been more solid than him imo...

Hope he closes it out.
Nobody played better or had a run.
Rory n Rose Poor. Rory abysmal.

pennies on rosie,resumption time?soon?

Rosev30odd feet for birdie on par 5.
Needs serious implosion.

Should be next half hour.

ta jed

Much is made of the final 3 hole stretch but I can't remember many (if any) late Sunday blow ups here.

rory needs a major refit, not being flippant but it could just be marriage, does change people,he's cetainly lost something at the top of the game

When is the next tourney featuring Tiger?

some poeple*

PGA in 2 weeks.

Was Bethpage the Glover v Barnes tourney?

Thanks rhino

It was Jedi.

And another of Phil's near misses, was fave at one point down the stretch and bottled it on the 17th tee

Did he have a weird brown outfit on or am I losing it.lol.
Think hit it where you just could not on 17..fluffed one or so.

Hope better board than that.

Phil season all about Pebble.

Homa impressive up to now.

Yeah he really has been jedi - very nice eagle try lag - wd 1000 backers, prob should pick up a lottery ticket too!

1st bogey of the day for Homa

Great par save. Fair play to Homa, I had the winning score as 11 or 12 coming in to today. Just didn't expect his rd at all

Quite fitting Homa wins it by putting in another biggish par putt

Actually, on places mainly.

Gutted.  Double bogey on 18 meant my top 5 (54/1) and top 10(22/1)  bets lost.  Top 20 collected which was a minor consolation.

Max Homa

1. Two years ago, Homa was lost. Suffering through the driver yips, he made just 2 of 17 cuts, earned $18,008 and saw his world ranking plummet into the 1000s.

“Nobody knew who I was; no one cared,” he said. “I felt like I shouldn’t be playing practice rounds with people. I felt like I was on an island and it was borderline embarrassing.”

Sent back down to the Web, Homa needed to birdie the last four holes of the regular-season finale or he wouldn’t have even qualified for the 2018 Finals, where he eventually earned back his card. Without that birdie run, Homa would have been back at square one – Q-School.

It’s the small steps that led to a big breakthrough.

2. So why was this Homa’s time?

Sure, he’s sorted out his driver. And yes, he has a better attitude nowadays, thanks to the playful banter with his caddie, Joe Greiner. And, no doubt, he was trending, with just one missed cut since late January.

But the real reason why Homa was able to outduel a strong field on a major-caliber course, as usual, came down to the putter. He led the field in strokes gained: putting, picking up nearly 10 shots on the field and holing a number of clutch putts on his back nine to stay comfortably in front.

On Sunday, he missed just twice in 16 attempts from inside 10 feet – an impressive feat considering he was in Tour contention for the first time.

3. The Wells Fargo continues to produce one of the most bizarre leaderboards of the year. Just look at the winners there since 2012!

• Rickie Fowler

• Derek Ernst

• J.B. Holmes

• Rory McIlroy

• James Hahn

• Justin Thomas (2017 PGA)

• Jason Day

• Max Homa
