Big Dusty played extremely well. Yes, a few breaks, but a few unlucky ones too. As it stands I won't be adding any more to my team at the minute. Burns +1 and Noren +2.....well maybe a couple of £ on Beef at 380 (+3)
See Brooks now, great shot rolls into bunker, can't stop it on the way out. Berger and Finau looking better all the time with Dusty getting into the tough stretch

all too pally with the comms sticking up 4 their homies it's the SAME 4 EVERYONE...as the USGA once said replying to the accusatory question 'are u trying to embarrass the best players in the world?' 'no,merely trying to identify them'

More utterly brain dead golf from Mr muscle.... Blame course all you want but that's a cop out for half of this nonsense, most totally self inflicted. Dj iron off tee,40yds right, Brooks downhill 20ft for birdie, one off lead, smashes it 15 feet past. Ludicrous golf, not all course here, players at it...

one thing i've learnt from this tournament, is under these sort of conditions you should give the explosive players, the spieths, the mcilroys a miss. instead the leaderboard is dominated by the grinders, rose, stenson furyk etc.

2 players 11 shots back, going out early could both end up in final group.
Shows you the huge scoreing differences between the early and late starters.
Though no doubt they are 2 great rounds.

one big advantage that the likes of berger/finau have is that they're mentally fresh, haven't been in the heat of the battle, it's like they've just joined in. expect the likes of johnson/rose/stenson to be incredibly mentally tired now

That has to be one of the biggest farce ever in a top golf competition. Players in the afternoon had NO chance. Mays well be playing on the streets of a major city

set for a potentially thrilling finale Koepka & DJ,Rose & Stenson good pairings hard to know what's going to happen is the weather going to start drying out the greens again,is the wind going to blow, are the USGA going to put the pins in slightly more amenable positions on the back of y'day's criticism, will they water the greens? all imponderables until we get some sort of idea once play gets under way Dylan Meyer's to lose, surely think the tougher the conditions prob suit Rose,Furyk type player more more scoreable Koepka,DJ be great imho if the tubby Thai could do it if Koepka can keep his ball in play off the tee will be hard to beat jetzt geht's los!

I don't think Phil 'cheated' . Cheating,as I understand it ,is trying to gain an unfair advantage while keeping what you're doing hidden- i.e. you think or hope or possibly know you won't be caught out. Phil's action was out in the open and he knew there would be a penalty.

The USGA need to understand the difference between tough and damn right ridiculous ! Some of the pin placements yesterday were insane ! I can't believe they won't react to yesterdays goings on and make things much easier. I would say some watering and easy pin positions are a certainty !

Mick knows he can get away with anything.Maybe not cheating but close.Think it was in Mexico a few years back ,driving all over the shop.Getting free drops that seemed outrageous.Again not cheating but he knows how to pressure referees ," you know who I am don't you ? "

highlights the complexity of golf rules where 2 differing penalties can be applied to the same breach.
i have seen it done, wasnt sure what penalty was, never found out as guy missed ball and walked off!
it would be nice if r and a looked at it for future decisions, ....i would favour a dq, but its a harsh penalty.
phil got lucky but its not going to win him a us open.

It was tough yesterday but don't think it was insane eugene.
13, 15 and 18 were all difficult if you got in the wrong position.
Personally i enjoyed it hoping we have more of the same tonight

Ok mighty insane maybe a tad strong but when players are hitting decent approaches that are rolling 40+ yards away and they are 3 and 4 putting from literally no distance then it ain't right !

lots being made about the course but invariably the best player wins over 72 holes...doesn't matter if its +10 or -10 as the winning score there are arguments about quickening greens over the course of a day & the element of luck over skill but that equually applies over here on the links courses we play in the open..more often than not the top players come to the fore which is why they are the best..they can adapt (or should be able to) in extreme conditions golfers for the most part have pristine conditions in many tournaments...the us open makes you prove your ability and temperament to adapt

The draw/weather combo has never affected any other golf tournament right..........
A few bad pin positions and some are calling it CARNAGE..........
That S Stirks interviews are PAINFUL to watch..............

the examination paper is what it is. traditionally to with a us open you have to manage the adversity you face. It was tricky around the greens but rose for example got it up and down time after time.
Dustin had a shocking front nine but that was as much down to his poor tee to green play than around the greens.
Thought Koepka probably played the best yesterday whilst rose looks in the best place mentally.

no wind to speak of at moment picks up at about 2pm local to 10/12 knots...fowler 4 under through 10 mickelson.matsumua 3 under interesting in an hour when the 8+ start theres a few top players on that score justin grace woodland etc intesting if these player 7/8 over can post low scores.....use wind guru for wind pretty accurate normally

he had the same conditions as koepka yesterday and shot six shots worse.
he starts today no worse off score wise than anyone else in the field. I'm afraid if he doesn't win there aren't any excuses.

Watching yesterday feel Koepka and Rose are the ones I would be going for if I didn't already have a flutter, so just going to let my fat boy bet take its chances even though 3 behind.
