To his his stakes and prices return works out at just under 8/1 so when the RP start banging on about a 50/1 winner sorry no it ain't !

IMHO

There is a place for Steve Palmer and it is this...He is as 'intuitive ' as the next...he puts his money where his mouth is as you can see by his blog..he is a serious punter on golf...Like Coley,Lyons, etc he is ..not a bad reference for a punter...Some tipsters could not hit a barn door with a hatchet.

Anyway, if you want to bet on golf you could do alot worse than follow his staking plan through thick and thin....get up early,  and get on early before the price goes and do not trade out .Do all this to a comfortable personal level...Steve does the leg-work for you if you are busy... Last year I picked names at random off Oddschecker and I was amazed at some of the results....it is a game of darts in the end...again IMHOCool

i ignore his stake plan and its £25 win only on 5 ok he sometimes picks 3 or 4 or even 6 so its a process of elimination depending on his write up

£25 at 50-1 win = £1250 profit
£25 at 72 win = £1775 profit - comm of 2% £35.50 = £1739.50

that beats IOP (industry oddschecker price) by this amount £489.50

so in this case stake for me £125 (rpost will be different as its each way and various stakes)

£125 stake return after comm £1764.50 = average odds at level stakes of 14.116 or books odds of 13-1

so that beats the so called EK quoted odds of just under 8-1 by 5 points or in % terms 64.28571

In Ireland , duke, we call that 'having a dog and barking yourself'.....so you have €25,straight win on his top pick(Thomas), and you arbitrarily, put same on Palmer rags without doing e/w.....??? It worked good this week but to me ...it only makes in your bank a/c yesterday...Well Done anyway?Cool

Just seen these posts and all I would say is that I was merely making the point that had you followed Steve Palmers advices 'to the letter' you wouldn't have won 50 times your outlay but hey don't let the truth get in the way of a good story !

Never forget that a tipster is a failed punter or someone who doesnt bet.

Palmer is a complete degenerate. Coley admits he doesnt even bet himself. Says it all.

All the tipsters do is mark the cards of the bookies and give them an excuse to slash prices. Anyone wanting a serious bet will know the tipsters are an absolute nightmare as they destroy prices.

That doesn't even begin to talk about all the fictional prices that the tipsters claim.

Palmer always seems quite honest in his betting stating where and how much he had on. Perhaps if he was less honest with his bets he might not get so much stick on here.

Seems an alright guy to me likes his punting on the golf and has a fair few wins.

Maybe he should just stick to that.

I know I am miles and miles ahead with my punting on the golf. Maybe I should take my own advice and just stick to that lol
