he made it look simple good luck |

A midsize or standard grip will have the same inside dimensions, I presume you have put the tape on and used something like white spirit to slide the grip on?

go to the the pro you daftie.

don't want to go to the pro as i know i can fit them cos its easy and will cost a fraction of what it would do at the pr shops, its basically 5 mins per club, trebor i haven't put the tape on yet but removed the old.

I may have misunderstood the question, thought you where saying that the grips are too small to go on the shafts, they won't be, but some shafts are thicker than others and are more difficult to grip.
If it is that the grip feels to thin then that will feel bigger once on the club. |
|
By:
trebor, these grips don't remotely fit, more importantly no reviews or specs for the clubs state the shaft size.
|
|
By:
obviously not all hafts are the same as many clubs that are graffiti are fat shafts(not all i guess)
|

I am not up to speed on new clubs, but think it was Taylor Made did fat shafts years ago that took normal grips?
Hope this don't sound condescending but have you put grips on before? if you have not I think it is quite normal to think that the grip is too small to go on the shaft, once a layer of tape is on and been soaked with white spirit or petrol they slide on fairly easily. |

By:
no, but was you say with tape and spirit it looks on video that it should go on easy.ive just been to the pro shop and he says the shafts are a bit thicker

Taylor Made did bubble shafts and needed the same grip when replacing.Lampkin came to the rescue and made a grip for the bubble shaft. Fat Shafts were made by Wilson. Answer to OP go on web, ie Ping Fit find out your hand size, you may need to add extra layers of tape to acheive your size. |

The grip is prob the first fundamental in golf. They are trivially easy to fit - if you know how... like a zillion other things. choose according to what u want - lessons and basics are worth far more that the next best 2017/8 marketed driver. spend an hour with a pro who will get u started the right way, custom-fit u, maybe even refine ur swing! Local pros earn their money - up to you what u want tho. all imo, love x

in truth I'm not expecting to improve , m 56 years old but happy to keep around my 12 handicap.im too old to start having lessons as by the time it sinks ink ill probably croak.l never been able to get my left arm straight and still play with a baseball grip, maybe if id had a lesson when i was young id have been 2 03 strokes a round better but its too late now.

good on you. glad i didn't come across as a dick. a short game lesson will help u drop 2-3 :-)

not to blow my own trumpet but i probably have a short game of someone much better than a 12, but whilst I'm a straight hitter i lack distance and nowadays i my irons start at a 6 and below that i use a rescue club.distance is king and at my age i can only lose it.
