Any ideas for 6 golfers visiting Cornwall. 16+ handicaps. Nothing too taxing. The Holywell course at St Enedoc is the ideal but unfortunately its closed when we visit. Bowood and Lanhydrock are possibles but slightly daunting... any views? Oh yes... 30-45 mins from Bodmin. Thanks in anticipation.

The Holywell is only 4000yds - are you looking for a par 3 / short course?
Do you prefer links (windy) or parkland? When are you visiting?
St Enodoc is very tough
Bowood and Lanhydrock are both tricky, parkland and narrow.
In order of quality:
Trevose is a great links and not too tough, very few blind holes and some great views. Also has some scorable par 5s and short 4s.
Newquay is a good links, also few blind holes and good views
Carlyon bay is good, links with a few parkland holes
Perranporth is quite exposed and a few too many blind shots if you haven't played there before.
Truro is ok, shorter than the others (5600 or so) and a tricky, narrow parkland. Greens may be a bit dodgy at this time of year.
I can describe a few others if it helps...
