this is how i see it..toss up 1st match
stens not playing great but spieth driving it all over the show but will out-putt henrik..could go either way
JB's a bottler..big chance for Pieters tho' have seen him 'waiver' more than once
ricky and justin both out of form..another hard to call
walker not playing great..RCB lovely guy, streaky player but both are bottlers imho but Rafa has to gain confidence from how he's played so far
lefty vs serge another could go either way..serge steadier tee 2 green but phil capable of brilliance
moore been average nowhere near the level of East Lake..WW what can u say? but not beyond the realmas of possibility could redeem himself here
sullivan can be streaky esp on the greens but fancy sneds here
wood can defo choke but can play well at times and haven't been impressed with DJ here..upset?
Koepka is soo overrated..blasting it all over the place..but can get hot..danny can be in and out but think he could nick this
kuch is solid..kaymer never been the same since he blew the TEN shot lead..can never rule anything out but be surprised if he overturns kuch
Zach(even with HIS Lord having his back) funny player..can be v hard to beat if he gets hot with the flat stick but also can be q ordinary..same applies to Fitz..should be a US win but not a certainty

was backing the US y'day from 1.4x out to 1.8x when Europe were getting back into it
had run out of wedge when they went 2.0x
but even tho' evey man and his dog now think they're a shoo-in i remain wary
so have cashe d back my stake so will cut potential profit by 45% but u gotta go with ur gut
think this could get interesting
tie not entirely out of the equation
cue the yanks setting mega fat sectionals out of the traps and hosing up now
proving what u all know..i'm a total c*ntWinkGrin

If (and it is a big if) we could get 5 points out of the first 8 there will be real pressure on the yanks - they folded 4 years ago & that will be remembered - realistically you hope westwood, kaymer & willett turn up to play - 3 points could be lost there & we need I would say 1.5 points (or more) from those 3 to give europe at least a fighting chance

I'm not overly concerned about the newcomers as I think they will perform well

pieters has been excellent
cabrero-bello has played really well
sullivan - hopefully pumped up
wood - should definitely have played yesterday afternoon
fitzpatrick - if it actually comes down to him I think he could do it
willett - needs to up his game

Scoreboard for singles matches will resemble a blue sky atop a deep red sea. Wonder how many points the bottom six - or even bottom 9 - matches will contribute to Team Europe total?

Yeah have to agree Reid looks overpriced considering the pressure on McIlroy to deliver the goods. Which of the two balls would you think is nailed on?

Stenson a remarkable price to beat the hapless Speith. That kid really has the lost the plot with his long game.

Stenson (nap).

Had Stenson down as pretty tasty in two balls, any other from the golf experts here? also considered Pieters as a decent bet from what Ive watched.

Actually could see Europe tie this or even take a brief lead, given how the first five matches shape up, that´s assuming they can finish their matches before Westwood, Kaymer and Willett lose 9&8, 7&6 and 8&6.

all 12 americans have contributed to their score but 5 of the europeans have not (albeit some of the novices haven't had the chance)
probably sums up better than anything why we are currently losing
some metal required this afternoon (and lots of luck)
