Laid Curran for £50 on Friday at 130 then the rest yesterday at 21-28. McGirt yesterday as well.
Come to think it I had 65k against Curran on Wednesday having backed him 900+. Thought his odds would drop but they hardly moved so laid at 800+

Backed him a few times this year (Riviera T20 and at Harbour Town T9 - a home game for him and his favourite vacation spot) so he's always been on my radar...The victory was the first in McGirt’s PGA Tour career, in his 165th start. As for the marquee players, No. 1 Jason Day tied for 27th, six strokes back; No. 2 Jordan Spieth tied for 57th, 12 off the lead, and No. 3 Rory McIlroy tied for fourth, two back, though he was never a factor.
The last time 36yo William McGirt won a golf tournament was back in 2007 when he prevailed in a playoff at the Cabarras Classic Championship on the eGolf Tour.
McGirt has made steady progress since leaving the mini-tours behind for good in 2011 after tying for second at the PGA TOUR qualifying tournament. He'd had close calls in 2007 and '08, lipping out putts that would have put him in the all-important final stage, before earning Web.com Tour status for 2010 when he was on the verge of hanging it up.
"There were several times, and especially after the way I missed q-school in 2007 and 2008, ... you look back at it and you're kind of like, I don't know if it's ever going to happen." He once had a four-month stretch on the road when he saw his wife for eight days. But it did, and McGirt has earned more than $4.9 million in a little over five years since. He's comfortable talking about his roots, though, and he's not one to take the opportunities on TOUR for granted. The Carolinian (McGirt resides in Boiling Springs) took a two-stroke lead into the final round of the Northern Trust Open in 2014.
McGirt has never led after 54 holes of a PGA TOUR event, although he does have two runner-up finishes in the last few years, both at the RBC Canadian Open. Finished T6 with 69, 67, 65 & 73. Add a third career runner-up finish at this season's weather-delayed Sanderson Farms Championship, inching ever closer to the winner's circle.
Entering the final round of the 2012 Canadian Open, McGirt was in prime position to win the tournament...And yes, he was admittedly a little nervous. After all, this is a guy who claims he'd "run out of fingers and toes" if he had to count all of the different developmental mini-tours he'd played before reaching the highest level. This was his sophomore season on the PGA Tour and his best chance so far and, well, he didn't want to screw it up. Trying to remain in the moment, he decided he wouldn't look at a leaderboard throughout the day. He didn't want to know his position, didn't want to be thinking about it too much. The end result? He posted a respectable 1-under 69, but still lost by a stroke.
Eight days later, around 8 a.m. on Monday morning of the PGA Championship, McGirt was on the practice green when Tiger Woods' caddie, Joe LaCava, approached to congratulate McGirt on the strong finish. "I only have one regret," McGirt told him. "I never looked at a leaderboard all day."
Stroking putts nearby, Woods instantly spun around and confronted his fellow pro. Until this moment, the two of them had barely crossed paths, let alone shared a conversation. That was about to change. "What?" Woods exclaimed as he walked toward McGirt until they were nose to nose. "OK, spill the beans."
McGirt proceeded to explain that it was the first time he'd been in that position, and he didn't want to get caught up with checking where he sat amongst the contenders. After listening to that explanation, Woods looked him in the eye and responded, "You think Kobe [Bryant] doesn't look at the scoreboard with a minute to go in the game?" He then offered a few more choice words, followed by three that McGirt will never forget: "You're an idiot."
The second-year PGA Tour pro immediately understood his mistake. "OK, we agree," he told him. "We're on the same page." Ever since that day, McGirt has been a leaderboard-watcher.
Ranked 102nd in the world (up to 44th this morning), WILLY MCGIRT stats suggest he should be even higher but the results haven’t caught up UNTIL NOW ! There, too, was his caddie, Brandon Antus, who has worked with him ever since his rookie season. He knows the stories; he has witnessed the journey. Not far from where that final putt fell into the hole, McGirt embraced Antus in a bear hug and whispered a few celebratory words. "We did it," he told him. "We did it. We did it. We did it. Finally."

The dream and work of ‘The Golden Bear’, Jack grew up just down the road from here so built his masterpiece in his own backyard. Since the course opened in 1974, it has hosted the 1987 Ryder Cup, the 1992 US Amateur Championship, the 1998 Solheim Cup and the 2013 Presidents Cup.
HIS trademark in design is that most tee shots play downhill into generous landing areas where erratic tee shots that find problems will be punished.
Muirfield therefore sets up as a classic second-shot course (think Seminole, Ballybunion & Ryl Melbourne composite as per Tiger) also with thick rough and extensive bunkering that will test the best scramblers just as Jack intended.
In 2014 there were only eight, bogey-free rounds. In 2013 there was one round as it ranked the 2nd-hardest par 72 next to Augusta. Birdies can be plentiful so I can see Jordan post a score of 272 (16 under) in this elite 120 man field. Experience and class usually play a large part this week...

An up-and-down week for DUFNER.....He set the 36-hole record at Muirfield Village on Friday and built a four-shot lead. His 77 on Saturday dropped him four shots behind. And he wound up winning by three shots over Rickie Fowler and Anirban Lahiri.

Dufner's fifth PGA Tour victory as he joined Nicklaus as the only Ohio-born winners of the Memorial, the tournament Nicklaus created in 1976 and won twice. And not since Faldo in the 1989 Masters has anyone shot a 77 in the third round of a PGA Tour event and still gone on to win.

Fowler, in prime position to force a playoff on the 18th hole by making birdie, instead made bogey after Dufner ended it with his big par putt. Fowler shot 70 and tied for second with Lahiri, who closed with a 65 before both of the two rain delays that lasted a combined 2 1/2 hours.
Justin Thomas missed consecutive short birdie putts that stopped any momentum he had. Matt Kuchar fell back with three bogeys on the back nine. They finished another shot behind.
