I really dont want to hex SSP but ive been surprised how good his long game has been so far, been terrific, thought he was all short game, and from memory on that last short tree lined course he used to spray it all over the shop,Army Golf! I hope he keeps it going, like winning the Open for the bloke , clearly his main focus all year!

I never do this but almost tempted to slate the guy on social media, it's just been one of the most pathetic meltdowns I've ever witnessed

was tempted to back bryson de shambles in the valspar as well, was congratulating myself for staying away from him when he started melting down yesterday, but this collapse from eddie is even worse
I'm truly disgusted with all these choking golfers.
bring on the masters where we might get some quality at least!

thought SSP was home and hosed became more than a little worried now huge relief, am sure nothing can go that wrong now.Due to retire in 5 weeks and golf betting will form part of my limited income so have to get betting decisions correct!

If he hangs on this will be the third time he has obliged for me at a big price
The ultimate "horses for courses" player

first chance I've had to watch more than a few minutes of this
the course is brutal - that 17th looks impossible
still it's a lot more fun than a birdie fest

SSP never looked in any danger, very cleverly thought his way around. Didn't think he could win at this new venue. I wonder how many people backed him thinking it was at the same course as his previously good event form

This is a proper 'snake-pit' course where you enter the native area at your peril. I am showing my age now but I remember every year of this...
(Red Rum (bay gelding; 3 May 1965 – 18 October 1995) was a champion thoroughbred steeplechaser. He achieved an unmatched historic treble when he won the Grand National in 1973, 1974 and 1977, and also came second in the two intervening years (1975 & 1976). The Grand National is a notoriously difficult race .)
Rummie was useless anywhere else!
SSP's bogey avoidance strategy last year was a sight to behold and despite his average/poor form and current status he is the first name on the page for this thoroughly enjoyable event...he is, in effect, the Red Rum of the Indian Open. GLTA!

I have no idea how good you are at golf tipping or even knowledge of the game. But you certainly embarrass yourself with regard to horse racing and particularly with reference to Red Rum.
Your statement
.......' Rummie was useless anywhere else ....'
shows your utter ignorance.
To help you, read the content of the following attachment,. I suggest you educate yourself , before making ridiculous sweeping statements

You disapoint me, facts, not so much with your knowledge, but with your attitude.
The truth is in your link, with a succession of unplaced fav outings in 'micky mouse' races compared to the horses record in the Ultimate Handicap Steeplechase in most of which he carried top weight...Why the hostility! Is this place 'your pitch'?

In addition to winning 3 Grand Nationals - Red Rum won 25 races. Many at Grade 1 Courses in Class 1 and Class 2 races. A horse doesn't manage this by being ' rubbish '
My ' hostility ' as you call it, stems from outrage at people who are not knowledgeable, besmirching a true equine great.

What a talent this young Indian lad is...seen almost all his play and he is superb. Unfortunately a poor start maybe jetlag but terrific since.
Thought bet was dead and buried but right back in it now.....
Topped up before today too.

I enjoyed this event and the last 3 holes were a sight to behold...Wallace played driver on the 17th to get a look at the green behind 'the quarry'.. the double option on the 18th was very quirky...you would need balls like a Bengali tiger to punt heavy on this track...ask the guys who got burnt on Sharma,Grillo, and Luiten to testify to that..Amazing coverage from Sky,,the Taj Mahal, the New Delhi skyline... home to 26 million people...amazing and well done!

Matt Wallace birdied the first playoff hole against fellow Englishman Andrew ''Beef'' Johnston to win. Wallace went for the green in two on the playoff hole, the 18th, needing only 20 feet for an eagle. Johnston laid up and had a longer putt for birdie, which he missed, and Wallace won when he tapped in from a foot. 'Since being 3-over through 8 in my first round, I've played some off my best golf,'' Wallace said. Johnston shot a final-round 66, Wallace a 68. They finished with 11-under totals of 277 at the DLF Golf and Country Club. Sihwan Kim of the U.S. finished third after a 68, three strokes behind.
Hometown favorite Shubhankar Sharma faded on the back nine with a 75 to finish seven shots behind. Sharma already had a victory of sorts this week: He received a special invitation to play in the Masters at Augusta. The 21-year-old Sharma held the 54-hole lead in his first World Golf Championship appearance last week, in Mexico. He finished tied for ninth after a closing 74. He was ranked No. 462 in the world three months ago when he shot 61 in the second round and won the Joburg Open. He closed with a 62 last month to win the Malaysian Open, making him the only two-time winner on the European Tour this season.
