Early scoring looks good. What time is the wind supposed to get up?

Zach and Fish Fillet first out of the 9 under brigade, an hour before the leaders tee off. How bad can it get in an hour?

The BBC excel themselves again. Moan about funding etc.
Last day of the Open, coverage starts six hours after the start of play. Two repeats, two nonsense programs and the news. which is on the News Channel anyway. 'Sounds of the 80s' on the red button. The mind boggles.Sad

It's Opentime; there's no need to be afraid
At Opentime, we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world at Opentime

But say a prayer to pray for the other ones
At Opentime
It's hard, but when you're having fun
There's a world outside your window
And it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears

And the Open bells that ring there
Are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you
And there won't be snow in st andrews this Opentime

The greatest gift they'll get this year is life
Oh, where nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's Opentime at all?

Here's to you, raise a glass for ev'ryone
Here's to them, underneath that burning sun
Do they know it's Opentime at all?

Golf the world
Golf the world

Golf the world
Let them know it's Opentime
Golf the world
Let them know it's Opentime

Nike bosses reacting to Tiger missing the cut and Rory being off injured. Good for a giggle.

Even when the beeb click into gear it'll probably be half an hour before we see any live golf after the the producer has indulged himself in musical montages & various trips down memory lane.theres been criticism about sky getting hold of the open, but im sure had they got the rights this year we would have been able to watch live golf all morning.whats the point of the red button if they arent gonna use it for something like this?

Staggered to see the start time for live coverage ,every chance the Open winner will be underway in his round before the 2 PM tv start.

Three Red Button channels ran for the Glastobore .......but not one for The Open .

Used to get 3 hole coverage and selected groups on the red button as well.Cutbacks I assume ,losing it to Sky is what they deserve.

dj's price is horrible now, it usually happens when someone or something goes really short though. price doesnt go out as much as it should do. if he had steady eddied his way to -7, hed but 75.0 not 60.0

Punters are all over Rose and Scott, going for the experience in the chasing pack. Scott 23 at close yesterday into 19.5, Rose from 27 to 21.

as the weather seems like it may get worse as the day goes on, id rather have -9 players who are out earlier. that extra 30 minutes may make all the difference.

believe most of the back nine will be straight into the wind that is going pick up later, could be very interesting.

in other news, the amateurs combined are -16, that could be a better average score than all the pros

ive just had a cheeky bet on mickelson at 1000 like somebody else.

probably money down the drain, but if he somehow posts -12 it may get interesting!
