In the past couple of months they have neglected to re-order 3-4 tournament markets at all during the week. This is a sharp decline from their former standard and speaks of massive indifference to golf and its punters in my opinion. If someone looks at the market and a player on the front page is 100+ (Kevin Streelman this week) will they stick around and hunt out guys like Delaet, Thomas, Finau, Kisner etc who are all half that price but waaaaaay further down the list? My guess is no, they'll just think it's a crappy tournament and move on.
I don't know how hard it is to re-order the market (and if there's no way for an operator to sort by price like a regular database I'd argue Betfair are doing it wrong) but you'd think they'd put the market in proper order at least once a week.
Absolutely not. Logged on to find all bets I left in for the French have been cancelled.Anyone know what time this happened ? Tricky to have bets when they are not in the system. Not the first time it has happened. Last Sunday morning he golf was on the 5 second countdown for whatever reason. Mind you when I looked at the first round leader market in last weeks tournament there was nothing at all matched and that was near the end of play.
They are not interested.

Ever used excel, notepad++, etc. select 'select all' then select sort (price ascending) - simple really. It can be automated too. No excuses and very very very very simple.
Golf winner market attracts more money than most minor sports on Betfair. Betfair probably think golf isn't important by looking at the forum instead of the money.

It's not important to them really in the grand scheme of things. A run of the mill tennis match has more money traded than pretty much any golf tournament asides from the majors. Problem is once you let standards slip in one area because you perceive a lack of importance, it creates a culture.
Generally they still do plenty of things well, at least in Oz. Their call centre staff are superb, and I do mean superb, and I generally get a very fast reply to any e-mail I send them. Credit where it's due, the customer service I have received leaves many companies for dead.

The way betfair measure things purely in terms of stake means tennis and golf aren't comparable, because without factoring in price there's no measure of how much is being won and lost. The millions matched on tennis will be mostly bet at odds on whereas the average bet struck on golf will be far, far higher priced. Someone trading millions between, say, 1.12 and 1.1 on a short priced tennis fav inflates the numbers but hard to say how much that would actually yield for Betfair.

I understand TB, but the short turn around and sheer volume of matches of say tennis, basketball and football etc. means that is where they will direct their attention far more than golf. And horse racing obviously, I do wonder if horse racing will ever become less popular but it hasn't yet. It's a shame more people don't trade on golf every week, the sport seems purpose built for the trading concept. Much more so than football anyway.

At it again this week. Have to go a long way down to find Lowry in the Scottish Open market, no big deal only the 4th fave with 100 or so names above him.

It reminds me of when I used to go in some record shops many moons ago where everything was unsorted. I just couldn't be bothered searching for anything!
