Think they'll harden it up. Billy Payne & co won't be wanting a 21 year old to smash through the 20 under par barrier on day 3. Tiger wants the sub-air system turned on to dry it out as well, make it even tougher.
By:
Agreed but who does that favour?.......Can't be the chasers.....can it?
By:
I don't think they can manipulate the course at this point to give the field a chance. If they make it as tough as they can and he shoots 70 not a whole lot of catching up is going to happen. Whatever they do, it's all about Jordan from here.

The plan was to have a reload pre r3 if needed, but i think i will wait pre r4 and hope the w/o market gathers pace....Sunday at Augusta can be a funny old place so if JS wants to bomb clear let him. Gl all involved

I'm not sure they can harden it up anymore ? It rained on the practice days so I was under the impression they would have had sub air going 100% for Thursday/Friday anyway.
It's rained a bit last night as well now. |

probably stick the flags in usual saturday positions
i suppose they could move it onto the slope at 16 instead of front right, but why change, if somebody chases down speith it will make great viewing |

Tourney is over for me already. Just hoping Noh can recover after yesterdays shocking finish and make top 10. I think Hoffman is overpriced in the without market as playing for second should keep the pressure down. Reluctant to get involved anymore though. Would like to see Speith have a shocker to make it interesting viewing tomorrow but really can't see it.

Noh......disappointed me late yesterday....so capable this kid

18 x front left pin positions that would be the way to slow Speith down a little, the normal 16th pin today is good for him.
By:
I had topped up on many golfers at high odds after Spiffy's round........Spiffy going backwards would be excellent, although i can't see it happening.

THANK YOU very much. Fozwald !

think they are mostly the normal Saturday pins

It looks like he's got it won already but there's still some good players in the following pack and with 36 holes to go they're still within striking distance. Certainly sufficiently close for there to be some decent swings and changes in the odds.

Tiger went down even further in my estimation with his attempt to manipulate the Masters.
By:
Did the fuddy duddys listen to him?
By:
Have they dried out the greens like tiger told them to?
By:
Not sure why Phil and Tiger want the greens firmer Spieth has probably the best short game in the world right now.

Pretty sure at least one person will go low today. Always happens no matter how hard any course plays someone always goes low. Anyone from -3 who say shoots 65 has a chance; obviously Speith needs to either shoot even par or worse for this to happen. The pressure is bound to get to him at some point - he's like a horse that is miles in front and becomes idle! Hard to keep the blinkers on around this place. I don't think it's over yet.....

Another last roll of the dice! Layed Ogilvy against Noh. Can't watch without a bet!
By:
My early impression is the greens are glassy.
Someone who can drive the ball 250 yards and has a watchmaker's touch will win this. ![]() |
By:
i would also like to add ,with 40 50 odd players left in the field and the way this course can be ,at least 2 or 3 are going to go low ,and then what makes the masters great ,the back 9 on sunday .this is not over
