even before his game disintegrated due to injury and whathaveu, i don't remember any really great play from tiger at augusta in recent years. still been plenty good enough to make the cut but can't recall many sub-70 rounds.

Would have won 2013 I think if not for the hitting the flag incident and subsequent penalty. Doesn't want to embarrass himself here, if he thinks he can play I don't think he will be horrible. Wouldn't put money on it mind you. Not sure what to make of the 66 worst ball story, if it's true the game must be in half way decent shape at least.

In agreement with those that feel he will make the cut. He more than likely would have won in 2013 barring that unfortunate incident. The man's record is second to none; he has only missed the cut once in his career at this place. I get what people are saying in that he has never looked as poor as of recently but I still think he will have enough about him to make the cut quite comfortably. xmoneyx - do you actually think he has the so called "yips" as many are stating? I remember reading what Paul Azinger and Chris Dimarco had to say not long ago and they both put it down to the mechanics of his swing not his nerve....

100% the yips, bet he never admits it tho, he never admits to things being wrong as the battle starts in the mind.

As others have pointed out, he could have won the tournament as recently as two years ago. And he's hardly turning up just to be humiliated.

But at the same time, unless you have an inside line on the state of his back, why would you get involved with a market like this?

I looked at the players on the masters.com tee times page counting how many could be ahead of Tiger at 36 holes.  I got 75+.  A player needs at worst 74,74 to make the cut imo.
Scores to make the cut:  2014 148; 2013 148; 2012 149; 2011 145; 2010 147; 2009 145; 2008 147; 2007 152; 2006 148; 2005 148; 2004 148; 2003 149; 2002 147; 2001 145; 2000 148.

The cut is low 50 plus ties, and those within 10 strokes of the leader.

Before 2013 it was top 40 plus ties.  From 2013 it is top 50 plus ties.

I know this will be called a MUGS bet,but it gives me some interest for the first 2 days before getting involved in the Outright market.
McIlroy,Spieth,Bubba,Scott,Day,Mickelson,Westwood,Poulter,Couples,Cabrera,Fowler and Walker all to make the cut @ 13/2.
How many do you think will let me down ?

Honestly stewardsenquirey the only one I'd be worried out is Fowler. Sounds ridiculous for a guy of his pedigree but he hasn't been playing well and this isn't exactly the place you rock up to and "find" your game. Unlikely Phil misses the cut again; that bet will go close.

Cabrera and Mickelson both missed the cut last year.

8 guys who started around 50-1 and under missed the cut last year(Phil,DJ,Garcia,Bradley,Charl S, Zach J, Dufner & Donald). A couple of bad holes is sometimes all it takes. I think there's some massive value in laying some of the fancied guys to make the cut. Certainly wouldn't be backing at the prices anyway.

Thanks to the sage advice on here, I didn't lay him to make the cut. I did lay him to make the top 10 though @6.6! Could be a close one.
