A reminder of the rules in case of any newcomers...

2015 GOLF COMP RULES

HOW TO ENTER

For each event, competitors are invited to select FIVE PLAYERS.
Competitors will score points according to the BEST PLACED of their five players.
Competitors are free to select ANY five players (no restrictions on favourites etc).
Competitors may also nominate one reserve player, which will be used if one of the five first choice players doesn't start the tournament (is a non-runner or NR).
Selections must be made on this forum on the appropriate thread before the start of each tournament (I will post a thread well before each event).
Selections made after the start of the tournament will NOT be accepted. Remember that the WGC Match Play will start on the Wednesday.
If there is any ambiguity about a selected player (eg Johnson could mean Zach or Dustin etc), then this selection will NOT be accepted.
Selections of the form (1, 3, 5, 7, 9 from the RP etc), will NOT be accepted UNLESS they are translated into player names before the start of the tournament.
Competitors may change their selections at any time before the start of the tournament simply by reposting.
Please ignore section on Default Selections in earlier threads - non-posters will simply score zero.

SCORING

Points will be awarded after each event, according to the BEST PLACED of the five selected players.
Winner = Best RP Price x 10, with a minimum of 100 points,
2nd place (and ties) = 70 points,
3rd place (and ties) = 50 points,
4th place (and ties) = 40 points,
5th place (and ties) = 30 points,
6th place (and ties) = 25 points,
7th place (and ties) = 20 points,
8th place (and ties) = 15 points,
9th place (and ties) = 10 points,
10th place (and ties) = 5 points.
Otherwise, if a competitor's best placed player is outside the top 10, nul points!
Points will be DOUBLED for the four MAJORS.
Scoring for the WGC Match Play will be the same as for the stroke play tournaments (so elimination in quarter final = 5th place = 30 points, elimination in last 16 = 9th place = 10 points).
At the end of the Regular Season, the top 50 competitors (and ties) will advance to the Final Stage. Scoring in the Final Stage will be the same, with points carried over from the Regular Season. Thereafter, the lowest placed 5 competitors will be eliminated after each event, until we are left with the top 15 (and ties) for the final tournament, which will be the DP World Tour Championship.
