Andy Sullivan ,Gareth Mulroy, David howell ,Simon dyson my 4 against the field ....... Dyson in particular seems over priced here @70 played really well last week and is a man that knows how to win(6 tour wins) was not going to include howell as he looked very tired at the end of 4 rounds last week but @ 50 seems good value Sullivan was getting stronger as round went on Sunday

I have concentrated on this tourney this week as opposed to the much more liquid and lucrative PGA comp. As much as the Pga is far more attractive the liquidity is surprisingly good this week.
My top batters thus far are Havret, Lewis and Quesne, and considering they are 2 and 3 shots respectively off the lead there are still some juicy prices about which is normally surprising on the African swing (if you will). Others could still get yet, namely Bjerregaard and Morrison, whom the latter i am expecting a pick up in form soon. Jaco Van Zyl has been a fav of mine for a long time but the prices didn't appeal to me at all this week. Phelan is clearly a star in the making but his youth still puts me off ....talent alone will not get you over the line against these battle hardened oldies. As said above i also thought Howell looked a little tired last week, although he reportedly had a bug of some kind, he still played well in the last round and were he to be within 2-3 pre R4 i would be a backer. This will hopefull warm up nicely for Sunday morning, and as ever i will use the PGA tour as my Sunday night play and evening entertainment. Good luck all ![]() |
