Went for Horschel here at 80-1. Couple of missed cuts here in recent years, but was in contention couple years ago until a weekend capitulation. Was in contention again on his last outing 2 weeks back before faltering and may well just be a matter of time before he puts it all in over the 4 days.

if i had a one and done its keegan bradley.
he has unfinished business with this course and after his sunday charge is totally prime time. been in contention a whole bunch of times only to shoot +3, +3 and +1 in three final rounds. this time he turns it around. |

Having my first look at the market, and yet to have a back or a lay, but can safely say I won't end up cheering on Westwood this week.

Down to the luck of the draw with the weather prospects beign what they are....?
Kaymer maybe worth a chancer at 40, despite his lack of form here has had a good start to the year. Wait n see otherwise. |

From what I've heard, daz, it's the other way round. Late Thursday, early Friday.... But guessing along with Michael Fish and the weather gurus.

This has the makings of a right upset. The 2011 Honda Classic was the one that was really windy. The final leaderboard was:
1 R Sabbatini -9 2 Y E Yang -8 3 J Kelly -7 4 R Barnes -4 5 T Gainey -3 6 G McDowell -2 6 J Overton -2 6 M Bettencourt -2 6 G Woodland -2 10 L Donald -1 10 H Fujita -1 10 S Appleby -1 10 C Howell III -1 McIlroy finished 16 over and Adam Scott missed the cut shooting 19 over! Of the ones at the top of the market G-Mac is the only one I'd be interested in. Conditions should be ideal for him. But there looks to be potentially massive value further down. Just going by the 2011 leaderboard there are players who could do well. Jerry Kelly @400 for instance - before a missed cut last time out was 5th and 6th before that. Overton @700 plays well in the wind, hasn't been great this season but worth a go at the price. Other players I like who can play the conditions, Leishman has to be up there for sure, Chad Campbell looks massive at 700,800 - plays well in wind and at the farmers his second last event he was 1 off the lead going into the final round. Also like Summerhays, Vijay, Glover and a few others who will handle the weather. The main one I like though is Spencer Levin@400+. Hasn't been in great form although another who was 1 off the lead going into the final round of the Farmers, the thing I like the most is how good he is when the breeze is blowing. Was tied 14th in 2011 and has been in contention quite a few times especially when conditions are tough. Yet to win though and has been in good positions to win so if he goes well I'll be looking to lay off. Will back him top 5/10 and also 1st round leader granted a decent tee time. He was leading after round 1 in 2011. |

Not sure I've ever found myself cheering him on, but the way the market is shaping up it's increasingly likely I'll be strongly rooting against him at some point this week.

Taking small profits here on golf for a few weks and not trading high liability. I was impressed by Paul Casey last week and see him trading currently @ 60/65. Have taken a little of that. Feeling Rory will play well and he may be a bet to lead after round 1. Have not placed that bet as yet. Trading a big amount on an ante post horse market at present. Patience is of the essence here. Best of luck to all. Att Quincy.............. I have been told there is a package for me in post office. Thank you so much.

Apparently Westwood found the water 213 yards of the tee on the first. The water is way way way left.

Tough going already and the wind's not really up yet. If the afternoon boys catch some storms they'll get a huge break.
By:
How much wind 3mph or 15 ?
By:
Looks at least 15 already.
By:
TB alright mate, who are you implying will get the break because of the the storms and what's your reasoning behind it ? T.I.A
By:
Storms probably mean no play so they will not have to play in wind today. But forecast tomorrow?
By:
forecast tomorrow look a little calmer, but still windy
By:
coverage could have started earlier than 7,most of the day will be oveer
By:
Exactly, the highest wind is due this afternoon so the late starters will be hoping to get off the course if possible and play in the morning. That said, the worst wind usually comes just before a storm so they'll have to take the rough with the smooth.

Traded a €57 green Rory, no liability on him.

Think Rory tees off at 5.45 GMT. Forecasting weather is behond me. Anybody on the ground overthere. Good field coming together for the Irish Open in Golf, being played on McIlroys local course. Sergio and Els will draw a nice crowd as will Rory. Tickets online now. Beautiful scenic area of Ireland. Beats me why there is not a line waiting to sponsor. And Darren, who is our next Ryder Cup Captain will be there. Best Magners cider around as well as a whiskey distillery and Belfast is near enough for some retail therapy for the ladies.
