not a strong field for this event and no recent course form to go on, but somebody has got to win , so gone for the players in decent form, not very original.

THAILAND, HUA HIN.
http://www.blackmountainhuahin.com
(never bin but sadly no someone who’s a regular for the young ‘uns)

European Tour’s first visit to Thailand since 2007 BUT horses for courses should still apply, in the True or False Thailand Classic at Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, as it hosted 3 Asian Tour events incl. the 2011 Royal Trophy (Asia v Europe Ryder Cup).

Past events at Black Mountain (Thai's feature prominently)
2014 King’s Cup
276 Prayad Marksaeng (Local Hua Hin lad, Thailand) NB
277 Rikard Karlberg (Sweden but lives in Hua Hin)
279 Anirban Lahiri (India)
279 Prom Meesawat (Thailand, another local)
279 Chapchai Nirat (Thailand)
280 Mardan Mamat (Singapore)

2011 Royal Trophy – Asia 7 Europe 9
Thongchai Jaidee (Thailand) 1.5pts out of 3
Johan Edfors (Sweden) 0.5pts out of 3
Jeev Milkha Singh (India) 1pt out of 3
Liang Wen-chong (China) 2pts out of 3

2010 Black Mountain Masters
274 Tetsuji Hiratsuka (Japan)
274 Namchok Tantipokhakul (Thailand)
275 Kiradech Aphibarnrat (Thailand)
275 Scott Hend (Australia) VNB
275 Sung Lee (South Korea)
275 Swangarunporn Piya (Thailand)

2009 Black Mountain Masters
271 Johan Edfors (Sweden)
273 Prayad Marksaeng (Thailand)
273 Chris Rodgers (England)
274 Anirban Lahiri (India)
275 Gaganjeet Bhullar (India)
275 Thongchai Jaidee (Thailand)
275 Chapchai Nirat (Thailand)

Emiliano Grillo 25’s..... 'Mr Consistent' with 13 cuts in a row for the Argentine - T36 last week and finishes of T20, T5 and T37 in the Gulf. Winner in waiting.
Prom Meesawat 40’s..... Yes more green apple curries this week for the 'burly Thai' - The Big Dolphin (not to confused with dinglemick's one down in Kerry) is the second-highest ranked Thai golfer finishing third on the Asian Tour Order Of Merit last season with a T3 here last year at the Asian Tour’s Kings Cup. This is a home game for this Hua Hin resident so local knowledge of the best restaurants is an added advantage this week.
Rikard Karlberg 50’s..... Scandinavian players use this venue for winter golf practice (among other things) although this boy is getting married next week !

Could really do with a Jaidee win here to halt a brutal run.

I think even if he wins Jaidee looks like he fancies a scrap with his caddy!

Hend has worked some miracle to lose this thing today, as inept a performance approaching and around the greens as you would ever see

Some serious choking down the stretch there, no birdies on last four bar serial Choker HEND on 18.
These guys are average at best under the gun compared to the top notch.
Jaidee plus 1 on last three
Hend plus 2 on the back nine.

Jaidee was the best player on show this week by a million miles. Any sort of week with the putter and he would have won by ten. I was amazed at how fragile he was on 13. The wedge shot was an absolute shocker. He then paid for his lack of aggression on 16. That's an incredibly tough putt as was 18. Having played the course more than 20 times it is difficult to even comprehend how tricky the greens are. Dodt had plenty go his way through 14-16 and ultimately just clung on. Hend will be kicking himself given how many lucky breaks he had over the weekend.

if this event is played on the same course next year, no need to look further than Jaidee and Aphibarnrat
