It's called a flop shot. He just didn't execute.
but they had the great webb simpson instead
plus DJ, TW, Jason Dufner
Watson would've probably paired DJ with Jimmy Walker though

Praying that Poulter doesn't get to hole the winning putt
I agree Rhino Billy Ho and Reed together would be compelling viewing
In fairness, Billy certainly didn't warrant selection at the time. Not a chance. Next time.
SKY have done a total black out on the DUBUISSON v JOHNSON match ... not one shot shown yet
looks like Donaldson will close it out before the postman reaches the top of the High Street...
They should have the Ryder Cup in America a week later ... have it at two venues in the same year, aggregate score

R U DRUNK.......
Johnson 1 up, not sure if Sky realise those two are out there
donaldson to hit the winning putt it seems - deserves it, been great.
Spliff and Mahan let down the team.......they both should have won.
Has anyone seen duibisson today? oh forget it just seen him putt a good un back level :)
Overall Spieth had a decent Cup though, just didnt handle it today...Mahan was just being Mahan, nothing should ever be expected of him
'' Most amazing Ryder cup we've seen'' says Ewan Murray!
Cmon get back to the golf, still got some bets going ffs

Jesus wept what an idiot
Donaldson has a simple celebration.....one finger in the air......very silent......a bit boring.
Jamie does look like the sort of guy you wouldn't mind sharing a pint with
Not sure the Frys.com thread next week will be this busy
Methinks those out there would rather win The Players
ROb Lee: Garcia's iron shot could not be bettered
er, Furyk'a is a foot inside it

In terms of popularity.....Ryder Cup different to standard strokeplay....more excitement for those in Europe and USA.....where do you live by the way
Murray imagines beating Furyk in a superfluous ryder cup match is going to propel sergio to world golf domination...keep taking the tabs ewan
in the end Europe have trotted up, like most people I thought theyd win but im surprised it was so cosy.
poulter v simpon equates to each teams worst pl;ayer in tourney.could have gone either way I guess.
Did garcia eagle the last or did they half it in 4?
depending on what v dubuisson does can somebody tell me the places for outright top points scorer?
what a drubbing this has been.
thinks its time for the yanks to enlist some help to make a match of this.
The America's v Europe and we may have a match.

the yanks have already shown both tee shots at 17, about a minute before sky
Americans just not good enough . Guess we have been saying that for a while now .
A jolly good 3 days.......not as good as it was 2 years ago.
sky not even showing Zachs putt.
Livo thinks there was a concession
bloody shambles

presume Victor conceded 18 and match is halved, would be nice to get confirmation
Official website showing that Zach was given that hole, match halved. 16.5 - 11.5. Shambles re: Sky coverage from a selfish point of view regarding my correct score bets!
Ah ok, ta for the confirmation aberdonia. Shame to have to end up with such guesswork after 3 days of otherwise great coverage.
In fairness who really cared about the last couple of putts beyond a few gamblers on a website...sky not showing it for punters
i dont disagree, the yanks did show all the shots though, they seem much more
interested in the golf, sky seem more interested in production values
and a massive team of commentators.

Skys coverage of the actual play was abysmal from start to finish - much like the BBC at the Open.
The yank on sky is the best too imo, although he can get a bit carried away with the superlatives at times. Butch does come out with some great lines though, my favoutite was his description of bjorn as looking "like a tugboat captain who'd been too long at sea"
Butch can grate sometimes but he has so much knowledge of the game and players swings

Probably not kelly but i really think if they came out of sat morning fourballs 6-6 we'd have had a much closer match

Not sure we can crow that 'The Americans are not good enough anymore'.
USA were missing Dustin and Horschel and Kirk ( 3 players in the world top 22)...reasonable to think they might have made some impact if they were there.
Not that much between the sides really ...a few fine margins here or there and we have a different ballgame...as is the case in most match-ups really.

They were also missing Woods, Dufner and Stricker because of injuries.
That said they were soundly beaten. The difference for me is Europe currently have 4 or 5 of the best players in the world where as the american team are all much of a muchness.
Europe's top players delivered Rose, Stenson, McIlroy, Garcia, added by great weeks for donaldson and dubisson. America were badly let down by the performance of Watson, Kuchar, Furyk,Z Johnson.
The American's also have too many players in their late 30s early 40s. Suspect their team may be very different in two years time.

should have included mcdowell as well 3 wins out of 3 and his comeback today settled the ship
Plus don't forget that Kaymer chap who decisively took down the Bubba man.
nice of him to chip in with a win wouldnt want him feeling left out
Dufner and Dustbin probably would have made a difference, not sure about the rest...Stricker wasn't needed given there was no requirement to include somebody willing to play with Tiger
The likes of Furyk and Kuchar are at nothing really but watch them rack up the top 10 finishes over the next 2 seasons and comfortably play themselves onto the 2016 team

Ewan Murray's idiotic "Most amazing Ryder cup we've seen!" comment reminded me of Whispering Ted Lowe's "The most amazing final I've ever seen" following Joe Johnson's 18-12 win over Steve Davis in 1986.
Which was precisely 12 months after the Taylor-Davis black-ball final.
Mind, at least Ted was pretty ancient by then...
