A group of 7/8 of us are heading for a few days golf in the middle of October. Anyone been on a similar trip to advise on any do's or don'ts? Anyone played on any courses out there that should be put on the shortlist? I know there was a similar thread on this before but I cant find it. All advice appreciated

Tag along with one of the Golf Society outings from the local Irish / English bars in the particular resort you are going to. Green fees are half the price that way.

Gone - I had a similar thread up a few months ago.  12 of us going the first week in October.  Great to get advice to play Valderama etc, but depends on your groups budget and playing ability.
We are staying in Estepona and playing San Roque New, Finca Cortesin and Alcadeisa links.  We booked our own flights, hotel and transfers and did the golf through an agency.  Most courses quote prices to include buggies.  If you have not already committed to october, note it is prob the most expensive month of the year to play golf out there. My first time to play these courses but they came recommended to me by a mate.  Finca Cortesin looks particularly good from on-line ratings.
