Boo Weekley. 40/1 E/W.
Hits it bullet straight, and finds the greens. Accuracy, rather than distance is a key factor here. Boo has an outstanding record at Harbour Town links, the host of The Heritage, which is about as near a thing as you can get to this week's venue. Hopefully he is not too knackered after a decent couple of weeks on the other side of the world.
Trevor Immelman. 125/1 E/W.
Not one of the more accurate, but rejoined the winner's circle recently on the Web.Com tour. He was top ten at this year's Heritage, by far his best performance on last season's PGA Tour. He also finished 5th here 2 years ago, so clearly has a liking for the links type set up.
Mark Wilson. 100/1 E/W
Again, as accurate as anyone from the tee. Top ten at Harbour Town last season, and top ten here two years ago. Also a past winner of The Sony, so if the wind does get up then it should not be a problem for the fella.
Ben Martin. 100/1 E/W. No real reason, apart from the price.
Zach looks the main danger to me, but surprisingly his record here is not that great, so I will pass for now.

Agree with the Harbour Town comparison Maggot. Have backed Carl Petterssen. Winner at Harbour Town and 3rd at the PGA at Kiawah Island which also looks pretty similar to this layout. Found some form in Vegas and having skipped Asia fatigue shouldn't be an issue. Think the price on here is great value.
The biggest problem I had this week for the McGladrey Classic was not finding bets but deciding who to leave out - adding in the complication of it no longer being a Fall Finish event made it even trickier. In the end I have tipped up six players but also had savers on Betfair on Toms, Pettersson, Cauley, Hadley, Hamrick, Gay and Beljan which sounds like a bizarre solicitors firm!
John Peterson was all the rage the last few events coming off an amazing run of five consecutive top five finishes on the Web.com tour and he has drifted nicely in price for an event I had pencilled in for him. This is because he gets to play a venue he is familiar with having being tied 1st in the SEC Championship here in 2011 - he was also 3rd on the Federica Course in the same event in 2009 and won the Jones Cup Invitational in 2011 on the Ocean course all on Sea Island on similar courses. Take the hint that he will feel comfortable in familiar surroundings 0.5 ew 66/1

He seems to like Georgia as who can forget his Masters victory and he seems to play well there every year despite being injured. He has previous here when 5th on his last start in 2011 and his best other start this year was when 9th at the very similar Harbour Town event 0.25 ew 125/1
Having mentioned Harbour Town then that is the reason for picking Aaron Baddeley who has been 1st and 2nd there. His other good finishes in recent years have been at Pebble Beach so he does seem to thrive on coastal courses. Back to form in Asia with a 5th in Malaysia last time out he should go well again this week 0.25 ew 110/1
There are a few courses which are similar to Sea Island - I have already mentioned Harbour Town and we also have Waialae in Hawaii and the El Cameleon course so why not back a player who has won at both venues? Johnson Wagner is a huge price when you consider that correlation and has been 2nd and 10th in recent events. He does a lot of training at Sea Island as his coach is based here and whilst his finishes are not spectacular he has shot some consistently good rounds 0.2 ew 200/1
I backed Matt Every here last season and am prepared to give him another go as he has a really good record on similar courses and especially at the tail end of the year. He won the Web.com Tour Championship at Daniel Island Golf Club, has been 6th in Hawaii, 3rd Mayakoba and 8th Harbour Town. He shook off a bit of rust in the Far East a few weeks ago but could have one more good finish in him this year 0.2 ew 80/1

He has just turned pro but has shot some good early low rounds so on a course he is comfortable on he is worth a round one leader bet 0.1 ew 100/1. I have also backed him outright on Betfair 300/50/25 and to be honest would want a bigger price with the bookmakers but I will chalk him up as 0.15 ew 150/1

Toms 50 - solid around here and has shown signs that he's still capable.
Vijay 80 - is looking capable of winning again after looking completely gone.
Love 200 - local to this area. Light of former days but 3rd here last year.

Added Sabbatini. Last 2 starts poor, but finished the year very well, hoping for a bounce back. Another with excellent Harbour Town form so should be suited.

I don't know whether anybody is gonna agree with me BUT as a non golfer I'm not interested in the science of people's swings etc. Sometimes this can go for for ages and it's SO boring!

@sheppy123.... If those guys in the Sky Sports studio were any good as coaches they would not be sitting there like spare ribs trying to sound professional. Imagine somebody like Christy O'Connor Jnr. in there. It definitely needs a shake up before next year. I was wondering why there was no liquidity earlier but then I see only 300,000 divided by 2 matched. Very little interest by yanks when Tiger is not in the line up. Still, there is enough around to win or lose as much as you or I need. The big boys can deal with a bookie if they still exist.
I found Coral's were giving long prices just now in the Mcgladrey Classic for the guys just inside the cut mark and were offering 1/4 odds top 4!!! Which I thought was a tad generous given we're 2 rounds in and the likes of Scott Piercy was 500/1 so your getting 125/1 that he finishes top 4.. 8 back with 36 to play this is well possible..

Utterly disappointing stuff from Webb. And I was hoping for an exciting Sunday. A good round will not be enough now. He will nead to burn it up. Will be shouting on Shane Lowry to see if he can pull another classy round out of the bag.Too inconsistent but getting there.
Personally i like the chances of Daniel Summerhayscurrently 55. He hasn't holed much on the greens yet this week,course suits and hasn't got the pressure of the lead as he stands 4 of the lead. If conditions play similar to yesterday he will need a 64 or 65 but not impossible if he has a good day on the greens.
Similar can be said for Matt Every 55, he has been a bit inconsistant of late but well capable of a low score when putting well.
