A wee bit tragic that so many players have to go half way around the world to try and keep their cards, but that's the way things are.
If Real Madrid can spend all of that on Gareth Bale, then surely there must be a sponsor in Spain somewhere with a few bob. Maybe not. Bring back Valderrama.
Anyway... I've had a few quid E/W on Richard Bland @ 150/1. He sits teetering on the edge of keeping his card, but showed nerves of steel whilst shooting a final round of 65 in Portugal last week, keeping his hopes of next year's card very much alive. He also played OK here last time. and has said that he likes the course.
The elder statesmen of the tour have come to the fore of late. Bjorn, Howell, and Lynn. Let's hope it continues for another week.
i saw garrido withdraw last week so i shot him an email asking him if he was alright and if he was coming to perth. this was his response: Hello Ron,
Great to hear from you.
Unfortunately I won´t be coming to Perth. It has bee a tough year. I have been suffering from glandular fever all year since april and it has been tough as it is a virus that eats up all your energy. I have struggled to recover, to practice and even to compete.
I need a rest and that is what I am going to do to get better and come back full of energy.
Hopefully I´ll be there again next year and we can repeat.
Thank you for caring about me and I hope everything is well with you.
Best regards.
Ignacio

just starting to watch the coverage of the tourney now on free to air in perth. its very hilly this course and hard for guys with seagull legs like me. the final hole is not called 'cardiac arrest' for no reason. garrido was a real goat on the course always metres ahead of everyone else. sad to hear he has not much energy at the moment. baby draw is good here. as evidenced by even garrido making the cut last year. he has a baby draw. also good pace with putting is handy. feels like bvp will go close to back to back tho...
the good thing about the email from garrido was that he sounded like he was totally open to the idea of me doing the job again next year. hope he's still on the tour
watching this again is bringing back alot of memories for sure magagie. the best being scott jamieson getting abused and threatened at the beginning of the final round by his disgruntled local caddy from the first three rounds. jamieson has gone on to bigger and better things since last year. the second best memory was garrido almost getting smashed by a drive after stumbling out of a bush after draining the snake.
in the first two rounds we had oscar floren and james maclean. two very laid back guys. in round three we had rick kulacz which was cool being a hartfield boy from perth. and then of course, i had the privilege of watching jamieson work his way into a nice pay packet in the last round.
will prob put a $100 bonus bet on someone at the half way mark and just observe for now...

think johnson is a massive price at moment , 17 on here , fisher 3.8 , he's only 4 shots behind , still 36 holes to play , bet he trades single figures

Any of our Aussie friends on here atm? No coverage here for another hour, if you are getting live feed before then post up some scores please. Up at this ungodly hour to cheer on hopefully BVP and added Mark Brown at110's for extra interest. GL.

If at the start of the week you had've offered me a playoff between he and Jeong i'd have happily taken it. Couldn't watch and trade due as had a family thing, what can you do... What I get for backing bottle jobs.
