Charles Howell III, who was only five shots out of the lead, has been disqualified. Tour officials pulled him from the tournament this morning and informed him he was in violation of Rule 4/1-a for playing with a non-conforming club. Howell played the second round with a damaged driver. He had inquired about it after Friday's round. Apparently, a piece of his driver had fallen off while on the range, a dial located on the bottom of the driver head. Howell will lose all FedEx points in the standings.

Are you serious? Plenty worse events than this. Fall series (although Fedex points may change that this year), Humana, Pebble Beach, and Texas Open are all far worse.

Zach Johnson bottled that event, believe me. Couldnt hole a putt on the back 9 and missed countless putts in the playoff. I just hope he does the same tomorrow.
