Can't understand why anyone would waste their time bandying banalities with strangers on something as trivial as Twitter.
Must be some deep psychological lack.

Only thing he has done wrong is apologise.

It's not the most tasteful way to respond to trollers, but he's not abusing or upsetting his normal followers, so no need to say sorry.

Hearts so it's OK to go round shagging the life out of anything with a pulse but not OK to respond to continual abuse - granted he may have gone overboard but who wouldn't if you were getting slaughtered week in week out. What gives morons the right to abuse people - good luck to him I say. Can't see it but would love him to win one and be able to stick two fingers up.

In reply to the last post, you do make some very valid points,  but I have never understood why anyone feels the need to have a Twitter account in the first place, telling the world your thoughts & views often on an hourly basis opens one up to all sorts of abuse to a point where it is almost self inflicted imo, if you don't want to be followed by nutters don't post what is often a load of c r a p in the first place.

in fairness this is a different situation, tiger isn't online slagging people , if lee cant hack it he should close his online accounts . tiger got slated for a long time about his personal life , and continues to.

\true but I think it's good that they share things with their fsns and to be honest if you were in the best 100 in the world at your job how would you feel about useless no nothings slating you - I would do as you say and close the accounts so I think it's brave but can see your point

I didn't mind the little outburst - it makes him seem a little more human - and let's be honest almost everyone blows a gasket at some time or other.

I think that the guy has made a complete pr1ck of himself. Embarrassing, to say the least.

Ranting on about how much money he's got. Deary me.

Nothing at all wrong in getting drunk, and being pi$$ed off with another poor performance, but for an experienced world class sportsman to let himself down in public, when he didn't need to, is bad form. Very bad form.

If you're going to get drunk, and be pi$$ed off, then do it in private.

Why these guys even want to have twitter is something I just can't fathom out. They spend half of their lives, whilst doing their job, with a television camera shoved up their noses, and ar$es, and then decide to spend what little private time they have to broadcast to all and sundry.

Peculiar behaviour.

The idiots that hurl abuse at these sporting stars are exactly that. Idiots, but why open yourself up to it ?
