Anyone having a play here? I like Steven Bowditch, backed at 50s in the winners market and would like to get on top 10 if someone could please lay 5.3?

Market is dead Rhino, everyone concentrating on wgc event, was looking to play on Chad and Padraig but not at the current prices.
Report therhino July 31, 2013 9:36 AM BST
Glad to have u back poke. Hope all is well in your world.

It is dead alright deplast, but I quite like Bowdo here, birdie machine suits the format but I want someone to disagree... Not sure Chad makes enough birdies more of a grinder isn't he?
Report Deplasterer July 31, 2013 10:54 AM BST
Think this was 3rd toughest after majors on PGA last year, so birdies may be in short supply though Rhino, is this on tv anywhere? If not, probably why little interest on it. Good luck with Bowditch, If you get matchedPlain
Report therhino July 31, 2013 11:08 AM BST
Got a partial, just need the rest. The scoring system is my reason for wanting a birdie machine, not so much the course difficulty.
Report Deplasterer July 31, 2013 11:26 AM BST
I get were your coming from. Sucker for a bet so have had to drop down to 34's for Harrington, £7.31 matched so far, hopefully get the rest covered by tee time. Have dropped Campbell as a result. Padraig isn't exactly a biirdie machine at present either thoughLaugh
Report furrelli July 31, 2013 11:48 AM BST
Have gone with Romero/Chad/Baddeley & Bowditch, quite afew others I liked have become n/r's so like my four even more now. All our capable of birdy runs & in fair nick of late so here's hoping.

like the look of andres romero taken 38/1 also backed mark wilson 40/1 and smaller bet jj henry 33/1

Had Morgan Hoffman pencilled in for this one, but as he is a non starter, I have had a few quid E/W @ 50s on Camillo Villegas.

Can shoot low, can shoot very low, can be bloody awful. Hopefully, against this bunch of shockers, he can get close.

Tempted by Sabbatini, but don't like the price.

Good luck.

also had morgan hoffman and jason bohn but both out

In the Reno Tahoe Open I have gone for just the one player in the shape of Bill Lunde. There appears to be a correaltion between winners of the BC Open at Atunyote and those who have won this title - possibly because it was also played opposite the WGC Firestone event or the Open Championship in July - in fact with these sorts of events it is a good idea to look at players who do well at what I call "opposite" events where the cream of the crop are playing elsewhere. His win at Atunyote came when it was played opposite this weeks WGC event in August 2010 and obviously his two year exemption is now at an end. Most of his best form over the years has been on the West coast as he prefers putting in Poa Anna and his last top five finish was when 5th in this state of Nevada in October - which basically secured his playing rights for this year. Interestingly his victory came in this week in 2008 so he clearly peaks in high summer. His best finish of the year so far was 7th last time out at Annandale (opposite the Open) so he is clearly in good form. His course form is actually better than it at first appears - in 2010 he was 4th at the cut before going on to finish 10th and last year he 6th heading into the final round before a poor finish. In a weak field with lots of pointers towards a good week I have had a decent bet - 0.6 ew 60/1 (66/1 available in places)

Never thought I'd see Chad Campbell start a tournament as favourite here on Betfair! (luckily JJ Henry is just holding him off at the moment) Tongue Out

I can't remember the last time I saw a golf market where the favourite was nearly 30s either.

I backed Teater at 40/1.  Was considering selling out now.  Thoughts on him going all the way? Reckon it's a good idea to take the profit now.

Kanga for what it's worth 7s is a decent bail out in a highly unpredictable event imo.
Report hasachance August 2, 2013 9:13 AM BST
For the first time in years I'm in a strong position after day 1 backed woodland and teater and couldn't believe it when I saw them first and 2nd this morning .
Never lay back unless there lower than 2/1 so hopefully they can hang about for a while longer

a small play on Johnson Wagner for the weekend
Report Deplasterer August 3, 2013 3:04 PM BST
Not as confident for the win rhino, but think 15/2 is worth a play, so will go screw bob on that. Hope he does win though as have in comp.Devil

Such an exciting format, shame there isn't more of it. Steele has scored 13 points in the last 6 holes to put himself right back in the mix.
