Luckily she is following Westwood, Sergio and Schwarzel (She says Schvarzel which winds me up), perhaps I am too easily irritated.

Sweet jesus. Every word makes me cringe. I am going to watch every minute of this and count how many times she says 'the likes of' over the next 3 days.

11 hours non stop coverage of the greatest tournie on the planet, and yet every fekin time, you get some jubbos spend the whole 4 days squealing like skewered pigs about commentators, presenters, coverage, etc, etc.
If you don't like it, turn it off. What have your other 37 posts been about over the last 2 1/2 years ? |

I would sooner listen to Hazel all day the Mark Roe for 5 minutes.
11 hours of non stop coverage without an advert is fantastic imo |

tbf its about the only thing the bbc do well these days, although one niggle is the likes of rishi who knows sweet fa about golf, but bbc do that with every sport they cover.

I'm just happy Claire isn't about

Seems to be no flexibility. Must work out what they are going to do then stick with it. Staggering the amount of players in red figures who we have seen next to nothing of

Risha fills quotas and the other lady doing to rounds interviewing fills two quotas

Maggot, I am allowed to express my opinion in a democratic forum. If you don't agree with it, at least learn some manners when responding. I like to see sport presented with a bit of humour / knowledge by people with more than a six word vocabulary, e.g.. Rob Lee / Wayne Riley, those guys are good. If listening to the BBC's generic, patronising, mind-numbing anchors is your thing then I pity you, you must be remedial.

The likes of Dustin Johnson - do you mean Dustin Johnson Hazel?

The biggest complaint is how few players we see.

Unfortunately Mark, if he hits driver he is in the hay.

It's nice to watch LIVE golf. While Tiger was making birdie on 18, we were watching an interview with Westwood.
|
|
By:
they have cameras at every green just give us the licence payers the choice of what we want to view ,throw in a choice of coms and jobs a good un ,but the bbc dont like giving us choice .
let us via interactive buttons choose what golfers we want to follow ....all that wasted footage and its our munee, its a disgrace they want total thought control ,they think the Open belongs to them . they suck ... arrogance at its worst ....and the mind numbing thing is that adventually we become brain dead and actually get used to it its all about them imo and what they decide is good for us . |
|
By:
It's quite possible that someone could win this without us seeing them take a shot. As the course is getting harder as the day goes on, someone 5 or 6 back could post a decent score early on Sunday and watch everyone else slip back.
Maybe then the BBC will realise the Open has about 150 odd players and not just 15. |
|
By:
they seem to have picked 2 featured groups on both sides of the draw, and we see all those shots irrespective of where they are on the leaderboard.
As for saying that they do it well, they dont, they are on air showing pictures all day, but that is as far as it goes. Quicker they are privatised the better. |

That happened when Ben Curtis won few years back, just about caught the winning putt

sky do the same ...
concentrate on their chosen groups and when someone wins with some late birdies they are unsighted regarding tv coverage couldn't the bbc use the red button to give a wider coverage ? like they do for Wimbledon tennis. |
|

Commentator talking about how pro's use balata balls now. Seems to have missed a decade of change in balls and equipment! Sums a lot of the BBC golf up really. Made up of dinosaurs and people absolutely clueless about golf but required to fill up their quota system!
|
|
By:
Great piece on litter pickng there. Well done tho BBC, got 2 quota's in one and the lack of golf knowledge wasnt exposed. £10 a month? Fook off!
|

' I greatly enjoy being with the young people '
smirk |

You'd have thought the BBC had enough problems with Sir's who enjoyed being with young people

"Naga meet volunteers picking up rubbish"
Just show the f*cking golf, instead of attempting to appeal to an audience that is simply not there. The only people watching in weather like this are golf fanatics and people with cash on the line. There is no need for this constant stream of 'fillers' to break up the golf and 'entertain' others. There are no 'others' BBC you f*cking politically correct all inclusive tards. |
